For me, a deal is that both parties win or benefit from it unless one person doesn't abide with it. A bet however one party will definitely win and the other loses.

The problem with "backyard breeders" is that they typically don't actually go through the necessary procedures to ensure they are breeding physically and mentally healthy animals, let alone animals that actually conform to the breed standard. Backyard breeders are the reason there are so many ill-tempered pit bulls, german shepherds, etc. The breeds are popular, they get a couple of their own that more or less have good temperaments (usually, though not always), and then breed them under the assumption that the puppies will actually turn out just as healthy and fun as their dogs are, and often then sell the dogs, papered or unpapered, for similar prices to what a quality-bred dog would cost you. Animal shelters are full of dogs and puppies that are more often than not the result of this kind of accidental or irresponsible breeding. The dogs can have temperament issues like abnormal yappiness, excessive desire to wander, excessive aggression, or other normal temperament qualities that are typically not present in their breed that take the owner by surprise and he/she can't handle. A responsible breeder strives to maintain the proper temperament and physical condition of the breed standard and ensures this by having both parent dogs tested for common genetic conditions the breed may be known for. A backyard breeder is generally considered to be the type of person who breeds for cash whereas most quality breeders don't profit off of their puppies and quite often actually lose money on the deal after puppy food, shots, worming, and veterinary checkups on mom and pups. Not all of it is necessary, however, when you go to Wal-mart or buy a "goldendoodle" from somebody who put an ad in the paper insisting their dogs will have the temperament of the golden retriever but will not shed because they clearly know nothing of how genetics work then you're encouraging a level of irresponsibility. What if somebody buys that "goldendoodle" mutt (yes, it's a mutt) for a couple hundred bucks and guess what--it sheds and they have allergies? By the time the dog starts shedding they've grown attached and have to either live with the discomfort or go through the pain of re-homing their dog because they were either deliberately deceived by somebody looking for a quick buck or unintentionally deceived by somebody who doesn't know the first thing about basic high school biology and genetics and has no business breeding dogs.

A deal is when you have an agreemnet with someone like to do something, or like you just made a deal to purchase a car from someone. WHERE as a bet is like when two people don't agree on something and they will make a bet Like if your football team wins I'll give you five bucks, BUT If my team wins you give me five bucks.

I think a deal is a contract between 2 persons who have
agreed to do business or something and usually the outcome
of it will benefit both parties, provided it turns out fine.
Whereas a bet is one party definitely to win and the other to
lose.

A deal usually has a positive outcome for both parties. A bet usually only favors one person.
