Ignore them. Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord.

maybe they are laughing because they don't believe you. Especially if you have made some type of major change in your personality. I believe that people can honestly change and I've actually seen it, but a lot of people don't feel that same way. When I first came to Christianity, my friends did not believe me and they laughed, but as time went on they saw that I was really serious and then they started to look into it for themselves. I wish you the best of luck and don't worry about it, they will come around. Be Blessed!

Jesus knocked and you opened the door. I'm sure he has knocked on your friends door as well but they didn't answer because of fear of change, of the unknown but now it is your duty, if you will, to spread the word. Some will criticize you and mock you. God never promised that it would be easy but he did promise that it would be worth It. A life of Eternity with him in heaven. I personally cannot wait. No more hate, tears, anger but Grace, goodness will follow forever.

For good reason. It is only your mind talking to you. If you want to believe something strongly enough, whether it be gods, ghosts, or leprechauns, your brain is very willing to oblige.

It might be a bit rude to laugh directly, but it is funny that people are still so superstitious.

If you think that there is a god really talking to you, try this... When you think he's talking to you, write down what he says when he says it. Then think about it and judge whether it is really information from elsewhere or something you could make up or guess yourself. If you're honest with yourself, you'll find that it is just your own imagination.

Because they don't pay enough attention to hear God for themselves; then they want to boast about how well they know God when they've never had so much as one intelligent conversation with God.

Even more absurd is when such people don't take responsibility for their lack of faith and blame God for their faithlessness and say "He doesn't do that any more."

Call it lack of faith it's that simple.

Because for millennia people have been saying that God spoke to them.... and somehow they've all managed to come up with different ideas of what God wants. You can't really blame others for being skeptical.

Enjoy your faith, but don't try to push your beliefs on others. If God has a message for me, he can give it to me himself. Surely you realize that.... if God spoke to you.

finding god is a personal spiritual experience, it can only be limited to you, no one else.
others do not believe you coz such things seem incomprehensible, unless and until they themselves go thru it

Your right people should'nt laugh at delusional people. It's not funny even though they are well grown up enough to not believe in fairy tales anymore.

for the same reason people don't believe me when i tell them qigong can heal sickness..because they haven't experienced it for themselves, and because science hasn't come up with a device that can measure or prove its existence.
don't let it bother you. sometimes it is best to discuss such things only to those who have experience in the matter.
