I am a healthy eater, but I have piled the weight on over the past few months (too much time looking at Q&A). And I need help to get back to a regular eating plan. It is so easy to let regular eating slide when you live on your own best part of the time (hubby works away). Anyone willing to share their eating plan with me please. Thank you kindly.

I've spent many years researching this; here is what I think works. It definitely works for me.

Here are some opinions on food and diet:

The best I've ever found is five or six (SMALL! ~300 calories) meals a day. It teaches the primal part of your body that you have a steady food supply so you don't need to hold on to food.

That being said, it still needs to be healthy choices. If you're looking for guidance the South Beach Diet's recommendations are a good guideline. I don't believe in dieting per se, but it has a good list of foods to avoid.

And try to incorporate some level of activity, even if it's just parking farther away when you go places and going for a walk around the block occasionally. Anything is better than nothing.

what i have found works is having cereal for brealfast with low fat milk, then a tuna salad and piece of bread for lunch and a healthy dinner ie nothing fried etc. then in between the meals have a piece of fruit. i have found that this works. for it to work at its best you should try do some exercise ie get off the bus a stop earlier etc. just incorporate it into your life. and if you really feel like a treat have it but continue to eat healthily after that...
good luck

3 meals a day, the main one made out of meat and 3 veg. Snack on fruit and get your 5 a day. Avoid fizzy drinks and exercise regularly.

The usual stuff, it just isn't easy to stick to.

If you alone a lot make two meal and put one in the fridge for the following day. This way you don't waste time every night cooking for one which is such a bore.

i like tuna sandwiches, for lunch...get all my Omega fatty acids that i need. For dinner some pasta, but low fat sauce...if your looking to loose weight....then another sandwich....Eat any left overs the next day...saves cooking time...
