I'm a nineteen year old college student and i have never been on a date. Im a guy who used to be really shy but not as much now. I am always courtious to girls, i dont drink, smoke, do drugs, or anything, and for some reason, unknown to me, girls steer clear. I do have some friends that are girls, but could never be anything more. My friends say i should lower my standards, but i think that is just lying to myself. What the hell do i do?

your only 19~ RELAX! Don't lower your standards, you'll only regret it later...BUT, also don't judge a book by its cover, if you know what I mean? Now, don't be afraid to ask your girl or guy friends why the girls steer clear of you. Maybe you are coming on too strong, not strong enough?
I was also shy once like you say you are, I didn't start "dating" until I was 21!! The one thing I learned to get girls to talk to me was to ask them questions about themselves, what they like to do, where they work, etc. Just keep asking them questions, eventually they will start asking you some questions, and away you go to a great conversation!! I hope something here helps you! Good Luck! :)

I wouldnt frett over it if I was you. I was 20 before I was even kissed by a guy or went on a date. I had the ugly duckling syndrome till I was 20 and then finally became a woman. Give it time, when you are meant to meet someone they will come into your life. Why dont you ask ur girl-friends if they would suggest any improvements so you can appeal to more women. They might tell you something you never even thought of. But at the same time, dont change who you are as a person. Always remain true to urself and you will find someone. Good luck

If you are a college student, don't worry about it. They can be a distraction and you have plenty of time to date when you're out of school, or even after establishing your career. There's nothing wrong with no dating, you also may be a little slower at maturing. That is not a bad thing, only that you are likely to have a very long life span.

Dude... was just like you. Didn't have a GF until I was 25... but, always knew what I was looking for in women. Just celebrated 5th wedding anniversary last week. What to do? Be yourself... it's quality, not quantity. Great women will notice and respect that.

Maybe you should not be courteous to girls, smoke and do drugs, or hang out with girls who do so.
