ilya, S.H., Sitara, R M, littleboy j, darkangel999uk, thank you for your advice and kind words.
Born2Shop: Don't worry about the stupid answers others gave, I had anticipated them. Thank you for your very kind words. Yes, I do have ppl who love me and whom I love; they would surely miss me if anything happened to me. God bless, and you have a good one.
Moonriver: Thank you my dear friend. The ocean! What a good advice; I'll remember to stay at the shallow end. :)
MacSteed: Thank you mon cheri ami. You know me well enough to realize I wasn't seriously contemplating jumping into any lake. But I was feeling sad and now those dark hours have passed. :)
April B: Thank you for the advice. The 'whoo-hoo' bit I already do every now and then, just to make everyone at the office smile!

Not at all!!! I would ask that you find a true friend, and talk until you are blue in the face, about everything that is causing you sorrow. I hope you have a friend who is a wonderful listener, and someone who will hopefully make you feel better about things. I hope that this person can also make you laugh!
Please try to look inside yourself...look deeply...see the things that truly matter there, and know that this sorrow won't last. Know that you are a wonderful, caring person that deserves much happiness.
Go for a walk, feel the wind in your hair, be playful, dance to something fun, watch an old movie with lots of funny looking actors (I'm talking really old here ;)), or run to the center of a big open field, and scream at the top of your lungs.
I may not really know you, but I care nonetheless. You deserve to be happy, and I trust that this sorrow will fade very soon, and in its place will come much happiness.

I suggest jumping into a very cold lake and letting the cold water awaken the beauty inside you that you are obviously forgetting. Water has many healing properties and your sorrows could figuratively be drowned.
Most definitely you will feel better. Especially if you jump in fully dressed and give a big, "whoo-hoo" as you leap!
Take care and know the morning brings hope and a fresh start. Whenever you feel low, just wait until the dawn and see it's beauty and listen to the birds and creatures greet the day with happiness.

Dear Lynn,
You should do no such thing, my beautiful friend. It would not make you feel better and would only make those who know and love you feel miserably unhappy for your loss.
I'd hesitated to answer this question because I wanted to believe it was "just a joke" (I know you and your wonderful sense of humour very well, mon ami). I'm concerned now that, although you'd never allow yourself to seriously consider such a thing, you have been feeling down and this question was an expression of that sense of unhappiness.
As your devoted friend, I will do everything in my power to pull you out of that maelstrom and restore you to your usual, bubbly, wonderful self. You know how to reach me (and I've already attempted to reach out to you a few times since I saw this question) so please do just that.
As Caroline has already suggested, there are people out there who would like nothing better than to listen to you and provide you with the loving support and friendship you require at such dark hours -- and I am in the vanguard, Lynn. And as Moon has made clear, we all want you to be happy and smiling again, as soon as humanly possible.
So, in conclusion, you will NOT be jumping into any lakes to "drown" anything whatsoever (figurative or literal). You WILL, however, be feeling better very soon. That is a promise, m'lady, so pray take it seriously. Please contact me at your earliest convenience and know that I am here for you, Lynn, as I always shall be.
Always,
Mac

No, Lynn, you should try the ocean! ;) Find a tranquil beach and, yes, jump! The sea has a wonderful energy that will make you feel clean and renewed. :)
Hope you're feeling much better, by now, dear! :)
Whenever you need, take Caroline's wonderful advice. :)
Please, take very good care of yourself, be well and be happy! :)
