I don't like when guys call you sweety, darling, honey etc. I don't like holding hands while walking, I don't like kissing in public places.
I met this guy a few days ago and he finds it strange , but I just think there are better ways to express your emotions than sticking to eachother. I find this sweet behaviour annoying. ( I am trying to ignore it when it concerns other couples, its hard though)
Is there something wrong with me?

holding hands and cuddling is great with the right person at the right time in the right place, but I agree about overly expressing it. I have a firneds who's girlfriend feesl the need to be constantly physically touching him somehow, leaning over other people and furniture and whatevers in the way. It makes me wanna puke they've been going out for over a year so the limpet act is very inappropriate, i think some people use cuddling holdinbg hands kissing publicly as a statement to say look I own this person, really annoying.....gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

What you dont like is something like your pre-conceived thouthts on behaviours of couples.. May be you have been brought up like that.. There is nothing wrong in thinking like that but these are so common for the others..

You should try to understand the basic intension why your bf addresses you like honey, or sweety and not the words, every person is unique and has his/her own way to express his/her feelings.. One can not imatitate the others,, you have your own way of expressing your love at the same time your bf has his own way to express his love for you.. So instead of hating these expression try to honor his freedom of expression.. Dont forget that we are social animals and are inter-dependent so have to learn how to adjust...

It is not a serious issue just a matter of slight adjustment..

Right now that is what you are comfortable with .. this can also change in time when you meet the right person. I never wanted this type of attention with my ex husband .. silly since I married him .. but with my current husband I can not keep my hands off of him .. or using cute little pet names. I know its annoying to some but its been that way for over 4 years

no theres nothing wrong with you, guess you are just different. think you better look for someone who doesn't like affection as well cos most guys like that kind of stuff, tell you what Ive been married 10years and called my hubby honey from day dot and most times i have to think what his real name is especially when im mad at him. dint take it as patronising its his way of showing how much he cares for you and if you really like him why not meet him half way at least. you are being too hard on yourself relax a bit and it will all come naturally you will find that sticking to each other is really nice. xx

wouldn't say there's something wrong with you, it's just that you don't feel so atached to this guy to wanna kiss him in public or walk with your hands glued to each other...and he's being too distracted to see he's taking it hard on you...let him know he's gotta chill out a bit before he ruins it all...things develop in time and time is what you really need...again nothing's going wrong...you just save your feelings for the best

sometimes people think that kissing is a sign of real affection. but then they feel that if they do it in public, you'll love them more because they're not scared to do it. so next time your boyfriend reaches for your hand or lips, don't back off. you're his and he's yours so enjoy what you can with eachother

Well, not holding hands is a bit harsh. But other things can wait until you're alone I suppose. To be honest, I don't mind it either way.

I'm sure glad you're not my woman! Most men may not but I DO crave affection & love to give it! I guess you are either naturally affectionate or you're not! Poor girl!
