I was the valedictorian of my previous school... for some reason, my mom decided to transfer me to a brand new school. And when I got into this brand new school, i bumped into their valedictorian who was just so arrogant.. when he realized that i was the valedictorian of my previous school and i got higher grades then him in world history and english, he started cheating, cheating on other classmates, books/notes, everything else, even ME! So I got pissed off after a few weeks, I just exploded,i saw him changing his answers when we were checking so that he'd get a perfect score and stump me . I was like: "Sir, is this recorded???" My techer replied " no, why?' I turned to my classmate and said "I saw some of our classmates changing their answers so I thought it might be recorded" And this valedictorian guy turned to me acting guilty and everything he was like" that's what you call taking notes"So, bad shot for me because of stupid luck, it wasn't graded, but the others were graded.

I felt bad and sort of guilty, I just need your opinions.

Most of you said that I shouldn't care much about grades and stuff. But I sort of started a new reputation here. And being the valedictorian of my previous school, it's super hard for me to just stop caring about grades... And this arrogant guy, it's not only me who has been noticing about his cheating tactics, they're actually a bunch of us. Some of us also thought that he cheated his way to the top.

First of all, you didn't do anything wrong. As the school's Valedictorian, he of all people should set the best example possible for other students.

I find it difficult to believe that he would "suddenly" begin cheating. It is quite possible he has been the entire time and the other kids didn't care about the grades as much as he and blew him off.

Just keep setting the best example and doing your best....Teacher's aren't as blind as you might think.

Good Luck

Ultimately, on issues of morality, you have to figure out if what you did really was wrong or not.

First, if the guy is cheating, likely he's done it long before you did. Your teachers probably appreciate you pointing him out. A cheater likely will continue cheating throughout life, which will ultimately get him in much trouble.

Secondly, as long as you were fairly tactful about pointing it out, I wouldn't worry about it. However, make sure you keep clean because this guy will try to find every opportunity to catch you at something, even if he has to make it up.

Also, you want to be judicious about telling on people, because you don't want to be known for it. People will trust you less. You have to pick your battles and let the others slide. It sounds like, in this case, you accidently picked a time when he wasn't cheating, which is unfortunate because now he'll be even more careful.

If that's all you have to worry about you're lucky!
My high school average was a B- but I still went to college and have a great job ($75k USD). Grades don't mean anything in the real world. in fact I never had an employer ask to see my grades they just care about who can do the job.

No offense, but I don't think it really matters. It's good that you were feeling guilty, and bad of him to cheat, but both of you sound like A-types and would prolly be better off trying to work a little fun around your stress.

put a roll of lifesavers in the pipe behind his shower head and sit back and watch the fun! Don't sweat the bright boy I'm sure your educators have him tagged for lesser things.
