African Grey. freaky birds.

An African Grey is one of my favorite birds, but I love them all. Macaws are beautiful. It depends on what you are looking for. Macaws are quite a bit louder than African Greys, but are more likely to be cuddly and playful with you. African Greys are more likely to learn more words with more accuracy.

African Greys are my choice, smaller, and they have a better capabilty for learning. Macaws are prettier tho. If you want colour but not a huge bird try a double yellow headed amazon, bright green and yellow, same size as greys and second only to the grey in talking ability. Had my Double yellow now 22 years.

I've never had an African Grey - but I do have Blue and Gold Macaw and I'd never part with her for anything.

Depends on where you live..if you are in an apartment...African Grey is the best. I love my Blue and Gold Macaw, but you can hear her out a the street when she gets fussing!!

African Grey, soooo smart! Macaw's are very loud.

I prefer Greys.
They have more intellectual capability, and are a bit less rambunctious. I LOVE Macaws, but it all depends on your lifestyle and how you like to interact with your bird.

I would go with a Macaw they are freindly and they like to play.... they call u momma and they are very beautifull birds.

For inteligence i chose the African grey.
For beauty i choose the Macaw.
If there was a way to interbreed the two i would pay alot of money for one....
