I can say that if you are working out and sweating a lot you are burning more calories then if u are doing a very easy work out that isnt even straining your body. When you exercise your heart rate increases, and your body temperature goes up. Sweat is just a defense mechanism we have that tries to keep our body cool. Sweating is a good thing, it means your body is working!
If you go on a nice walk and you dont sweat at all, your burning calories, but your body isnt working as hard as it would if you were jogging. Calories = Energy for your body. So if your doing something that takes a lot of energy...

The amount you sweat is not a direct variable of how much calories you burn, so not exactly. If you sweat a lot then that indicates that you are working hard, and the harder you workout, the more calories you burn.
Sweating is more of a fat burner. You lose calories by getting rid of all your energy, and when you do that your body warms up from the energy you are giving out, making you sweat. So the two sort of go hand in hand.

More to the point, the more you sweat, the more weight you lose. Because your body is expelling water, via sweat.
I've never heard of simply sweating actually burning more calories than resting, but I do know you loose water weight. Be very careful not to dehydrate while trying this.

by sweating ur losing minerals and not calories. calories depend on the amount of energy yr body uses while exercising. minerals and alcalic elements are replaced once u drink water.
