WATER. The number one reason for fatigue during a normal day is dehydration. Water is necessary for every chemical reaction in our body - including those that make energy.

The other problem could be rest. You will need to get more sleep as you work out - sleep is where the body does the majority of its healing. The more you workout, the more you need to make sure you are getting a full nights rest (I recommend as I sit here at 3:00am!).

The last thing you need is a good diet. People who try to implement a diet reduction at the same time as they start an exercise program are often setting themselves up for failure. The energy and protein requirements go up as you exercise more. If you reduce your calories so much, you body won't have anything to repair the damage that naturally occurs during exercise. Sooner or later you will have either a mental or physical breakdown.

Depends...

If your over working yourself in the gym it doesn't really matter what you eat before hand you will feel exhausted at the end regardless.

But I lift weights all the time, I usually will eat oatmeal packets (quaker oats) 30 min before i go. My body will break down the oats and give me a nice natural energy gain while im working out.

There are energy drinks out there that will give u tweak energy (make u hyper and fidgety), if you'd like you can try taking one of those before u work out.

But I would say make sure you get a little snack in you before you go to the gym, and while your there, take breaks every now and then to hydrate your body. Dehydration could be another reason why you tire out. You said its a new exercise program so your probably just not used to the strain. If you have an unrealistic goal and you are trying your best to reach it you might do more harm to yourself then help. Have someone look over what you are doing also and make sure your new routine is safe and healthy for you. A perfect body wont do a corpse any good.
