How about Sharp?

The site I would look at is www.cnet.com It rates various models and posts reviews. The best model for you probably depends on size of the screen, dimensions of the model and how much you care to spend. Not every home has enough room for a 50+-inch screen, for example. I feel it is a waste of money to buy one that does not have HDTV capability built-in. This is the direction where TV is going, technologically speaking. Matsushita of Japan is poised to become the world's leader in market share of HDTV sets. Their brand in the U.S. is Panasonic. I feel that Panasonic has good reliability, quality, customer service and pricing. Sharp got an early lead in producing LCD TVs and currently offers the most advanced technology. However, their quality control, reliability, prices and customer service are, to put it kindly, not the best. Sony is catching up in the race to sell you an LCD. Their quality, customer service and reliability is very good. Their prices are considered a bit high.

I own a 50 inch Sony Wega LCD TV and it is the best LCD TV money can buy. With its crisp resolution and cool features, it is surely a good investment. I bought it at $2,300 almost a year ago. Now it costs around $1,700.

I'd stick with the Sonys.

In the flat panel LCDs, look at the Bravia line by them, a little more expensive then others, but a great picture.

In the LCD projections, again with Sony.

The projos will be cheaper, but can't be wall mounted due to their size.

How about you say how much money you want to spend? How large a screen do you want? There are plenty of web sites where you can compare TV sets and prices.

Kelkoo for example.
