Evolution is not a belief or a religion it is a scientific theory which is why it is taught in the science class it also has an enormous body of evidence to back it up, evolution is as much a fact as gravity is a fact and anyone can examine the evidence and see this for themselves should they care to, so it does not require faith or belief to accept evolution... unlike creationism which is not even a theory or a hypothesis but pure speculation and wishful thinking...it is nonsense and it has no place in a science class.

They are taught evolution because the theory of evolution is a hypothesis. Science deals with hypothesis. Therefore students can understand what can be done to prove a hypothesis right or wrong. I can say this because, when teaching evolution, students can understand why there is that theory and what kinds of experiments were conducted to support that theory. They are specifically teaching about something that is not proven rather than something that is, is because this will teach students to be skeptical about things and always test things out.
Therefore, students are being taught Science.

FYI - Most of the Science is Theory
Like Atomic Structue is just imagination, no one has seen electron going in orbits .. there is an Hisenburg uncertainity principle.. C6H6 structure was concieved in a Dream :)
We study so much about light. Again they imagine, first it was said it goes in straight line and then they said it goes as wave and then Photons and then frustrated they announced Dual nature... Still that is theory.. Tomorrow they may find out another characteristic of Light...
So that is the nature of Science. they depend on sences and speculation.. unlike Religion that are words of God...
Still they are able to make many machines and we can use all those machines to glorify God :)) ...
We tend to confuse that, what we are taught is Truth... Like Religion does not say "May be God created the world" it says it is fact.. so we assume that what we are taught in School is also 100% correct.. this is our mistake..

They are actually being taught science! What many people want to think is that we evolved in on big step from apes to humans, this is mis-conception. We do evolve but in small slight changes. Look at it this way, people that live high in the mountains in Peru have evolved to the environment, they have larger lung capacities and larger nasal passages which allow them in intake more air and thus more oxygen (since it is limited compared to sea level). This was brought around by a change, a mutation and thus ultimately it is classed as evolution. I myself have undergo some form of evolution from my mother. During you early teens her in the UK you get a BCG injection to protect you against Tuberculosis. However it was noticed that I didnt need the final injection as I already had the antibodies. How can this been if my mother never had tuberculosis when I was in her womb. Its due to evolution that I naturally am protected against it. It is small subtle changes like these that is classed as evolution. If you dont want you child to be taught the simplistic concept of evolution, I suggest you take up the subject with their science teacher and discuss the finer points of the subject.

Ok, so evolution is not the creation of something from nothing. That I believe is Genisis. Evolution is gradual change of form and behavior to adapt to a constantly changing world. Evolution is observable to some extent. There are now Antibiotic resistant bacteria for example. (the bacteria that survive the antibiotic treatment were the ones most resiliant and they reproduce, these are more resiliant because of a physiological, chemical, or behavior difference. kind of like survival of the fittest) Science, by design, never proves anything. It trys real hard not to deal in absolutes. It leaves room for error and later discovery. Absolutes is another realm of religion. Religion says "this is the way it is based on our faith that this is true" and science says "this is our best idea of how things are based on the information we have now"

Why do you only question science when it conflicts with your religious beliefs? That's rather revealing, don't you think?
Evolution is taught to children because it's an extremely well supported explanation for the origins of living species. It's not just that evolution is supported by reason, and by enormous amounts of objective evidence, but the fact that there are many different and *independent* kinds of evidence which *all* support evolution. I hope you understand this point: Maybe it would be possible for just *one* kind of evidence to be precisely in agreement with the theory of evolution, and yet for that theory to be wrong, but for dozens of different *kinds* of evidence to be *exactly* how we would expect them to be if evolution were true... well, you'd have to have vastly more faith than I have to believe that that is just coincidence.
The fact is, everything we have ever learned about the material universe is a result of rational thought and objective investigation. In all of human history, religion never brought us one single, solitary fact about the universe - No discoveries, no laws of nature, no inventions, no technology. If we had to rely on some kind of divine knowledge to inform our understanding of the universe, we would know precisely nothing today. Reason, in the form of science, is the ONLY route to knowledge.
Prove me wrong.

evolution is a fact.
not that we came form monkeys,
but that animals evolve to suit their needs in a changeing enviroment.
scientific theory is part of science. without theories to test scientists would have nothing to start with.
there is no proof about what started the universe. there never will be. but it is good cirriculum because the theory will never be proven. this way the text will always stay similar.
evolution is not a religion. people do not worship evolution. evolution is simply a scientific theory. and theory is part of science.

Uh, because there is no other theory beside evolution, and it explains everything perfectly, despite what fools would have told you.
Evolution is a science.
The reason there are no other theories is that 'creationism' and similar never made it past hypothesis stage.
Theory implies a LOT of evidence behind something when you use it in a scientific sense. Didn't you know?

I totally agree with your expression "religion of evolution" but we are "tilting against windmills".
The secular humanists have long ago completely taken over the government indoctrination centers we call public schools and the teaching of the religion of evolution, corrupt social reform and revisionist history have gone unchecked too long to correct. There is no soution to the problem, America now has two generations with an error filled grasp on reality and a firm belief that it is no longer the parent's responsibility to raise a child, instead tossing current and future minds into the cesspool of day care centers and public schools for increasingly ignorant child rearing.
The products of this environment are ever increasingly running this country and time has run out.
The dawn of America is long past and night is coming.

Quit parroting what your preachers tell you and study some real science.
Would you go to a dentist to learn about Jesus? Why do you go to a preacher to learn about science?
You obviously know nothing about evolution or you wouldn't say things like..
"Evolutionist believe that in the beginning nothing formed into something and made something..."
Please! Before spewing any more non-sense spend a few days reading and learning about evolution.
