The best places are along the Atlantic coast cos of the big rollers - so the last post suggesting Newquay would be OK except for the fact that youll need a wet suit (shivver!!!). I just came back from Biarritz in south west France and this is in a bottle neck so you get bigger surf than Newquay (surf was also better than LA). Happy surfin!! Catch them waves!!

Just back from Brittany - although not huge waves was a cool place for surfing. Quiet and laid back.
