Because you're young. You'll grow out of it tomorrow if you choose. If this doesn't work, try meds.

It's a transitional state. You've moved from an unconscious state (sleep, dreaming) into the conscious everyday world. Also you're not quite the same person you were the day before. And neither is the world. Hence the saying "sleep on it" when facing a difficult problem or situation. Every time you awaken brings a new beginning with unknowns so adjusting can be a little unnerving.
If you can, wake up slowly and collect your thoughts. Focus on some positive energy. Take some time to adjust to a new day, to gain a new perspective so that the adjustment, this insecurity, can pass.

If you mean you wake up with anxiety (the vague feeling that something is terribly wrong) and you don't know what's causing it, you may be having anxiety attacks in your sleep. I do that. I wouldn't know about it, except my ex-wife would wake me up and tell me to go back to sleep. (Yeah, just like in the Three Stooges.) She told me I was shaking my head back and forth saying, "No! No! No! Stop it!" So I know I have that kind of thing going on. Maybe you do too. You can get a mild medication like Wellbutrin to help you with that, but you have to go to a doctor.

Hey sweety,I don't know what you are actully going thru. Maybe the insecurity be because of the people living around you. Did you have a fight will someone or people are not being friendly to you. Well even in this case trust but on person-God.whenever you feel alone or insecure, close you eyes, say his name, tell him of your troubles, believe that you trust that every things gonna be alright. Trust me it'll work.

Some background information would help. Is it exclusively when you wake up? If so then its most likely because of bad dreams, since most humans have the scariest dreams closer to the time of waking up.
