It seems like there are a hundred reasons for headaches. Have you looked into if you are having tension head aches or migraines? Have you kept a journal to see what you are doing around those times. Sometimes certain food trigger them. Talk to your doctor about them . Your doctor can help you decide what kind they are. This does not necessarily mean you need medication. You may be able to prevent them. If you do need medication there are tons of good ones now. I have migraines myself. Try drinking plenty of water and cutting out all caffeine. It might help. I have found it hard to cut out caffeine, but it has made a big differcen in my quality of life.

I just brought my wife home today from the hospital. She had surgery last thursday to correct a condition known as a Chiari Malformation. It basically is caused by part of the cerebral tonsils of your brain putting pressure on your spinal cord / brain stem. Google the thing and you'll find much more information than I can post here. Her symptoms were localized headaches, occasional dizziness and occasional pain radiating down her arm. Since it originates where it does, symptoms can be almost anything but headaches are very often the most common one displayed and they can be as you say, only on one side. You would need to see a neurologist or a neurosurgeon to have this accurately diagnosed or ruled out after having an MRI. The Dr. that did her surgery has done over 400 of these "decompression" procedures, we had never heard of it up until a couple of months ago. Lots regular doctors don't think of things like this or are not as familiar as a neuro. would be. Don' t have any idea if that could be what you have but it may be something you want to check into. Best of luck in finding a fix for whatever it is.

Could be a number of things:
Eye strain - Could be the way in which you look at the computer screen, is there a lot of glare coming off the screen? Are you eyes level with the middle of the screen? which screen resolution do use on your computer?
Dehydration - Drink plenty of water and turn down the air conditioner
Go to your doctor / GP if you dont feel happy with the headaches, I would just to be sure
