What do you mean, "renounce world now"? And why are you assuming that answers will be all negative by asing "Why not?" instead of "Why or why not?"

When the question is more intelligently written, I think you'll get better answers.

You cannot renounce the world. There's no such thing. You can only renounce your earthly desire to live. Human beings were created to be productive and useful to one another. In fact every living thing on earth has a purpose to fulfil. And one has to fulfil his or her duties and responsibilities to the satisfaction of all concerned before renouncing all the desire to live. Our duties and responsibilities hardly ends and it actually leads us to endless desires right upto the last days of our lives. Therefore, when one wants to renounce the desire to live, it could be that person has successfully completed his or her mission (which is extremely difficult to accept) or that the person wants to run away from all the 'burden'!

No, I would not.

1) My reason tells me that that would give me an inaccurate world-view, which would then prevent me from doing other stuff I want.

2) I worked hard to get a really, really good grip on reality. I won't give it up for some anonymous random.

3) My family is here. I will never forsake them. (Along with the entire rest of the human race)

What better way is there to "renounce the world" (as understood from your words) than to leave it!! Commit SUICIDE.

Now would you do that? Why not? Give three reasons.

No, God is good.
God has a greater plan.
Can't renounce something that I don't own.
