When somebody does something helpful and not expect anything in return.

Acts of kindness ripple through the universe in ways that we will never know. A smile, a helpful gesture or a kind word can all make a difference. Giving of ourselves, our resources, our wisdom and consideration. Sitting down and listening to someone, really listening to them. All these things have immeasurable consequences, and can affect the world around us in ways small and profound. We are all connected, even amongst strangers, in ways that we often take for granted in today's culture.

When faced with an opportunity to render aid, assistance or help, the immediate performance of the aid, assistance or help without being prompted by anything other than the recognition of the opportunity, seems to be the scene of an act of kindness.

Random acts of kindness are what I do:
pick up hurt animals in the street, and bring them to a vet.

Feed someone that is hungry and homeless (yep, I've walked them into a restaurant, and bought them dinner, after they said that they had no $ for food)

Pay for the little kid (that I don't know) who is struggling in front of me at the candy store with change trying to figure out if he can afford the candy he has spread out on the counter.

Take out my pocket knife, and make one of those paper helicopters (that really fly's) for the bored kid at the doctors office with his mom.

Pick up the kid that just got beat up in the school yard and put a paper towel on his bleeding face, walk him to the nurse, EVEN IF IT'S UNPOPULAR

Put your azz on the line once in a while to save someones life (someone that I didn't even know, did that for me once, I've paid it back a number of times, and will keep doing it)

There are many ways do create acts of kindness,...in simple hugs to lonely people, in sharing food to the hungry, assisting the elderly and disabled, visiting the fatherless and widows....sharing Christ's love abundantly....it is more fulfilling to give than to recieve. Look everywhere you can to help and share.
