Paranoid personality disorder is characterized by a distrust of others and a constant suspicion that people around you have sinister motives. People with this disorder tend to have excessive trust in their own knowledge and abilities and usually avoid close relationships with others. They search for hidden meanings in everything and read hostile intentions into the actions of others. They are quick to challenge the loyalties of friends and loved ones and often appear cold and distant to others. They usually shift blame to others and tend to carry long grudges.
There is help. You're not alone.

It's not just being stupid! Paranoid disorders are serious and can interfer greatly with everyday life. Medications can be benefical as well as therapy. Maybe there is some existing Post tramatic disorder causing the trust issues that you can work on.

well if you go to shrink he is going to label you a paranoid schizophrenic. or how ever you spell it.
I think you will be worse off if you start taking their pills to "help" you. I don't know anyone who is diagnosed with this illness that the meds helped, it makes you really weird.
Just try to chill and not take yourself so seriously, if you are experiencing stuff like hallucinations or things of that nature, then you need to check into a hospital for that, the meds will help that kind of thing

It is an actual mental illness, I recomend talking to a psychiatrist.
But also, sometimes it isn't an illness at all, it is sometimes just a part of someone's personality, and that means it is just an issue that you will have to either talk to someone to help you resolve it, or work through it on your own.
However, I still recomend seeing a psychiatrist.

Yes, it's called asking questions.
Give yourself permission to ask whatever questions you have.
You will learn to build trust again, when the others earn their trust...and you have a right to a give and take relationship.
Nothing is stupid, no stupid questions, just people treat us stupidly when they don't try to help when they can....perhaps they just don't have it in them to give.......perhaps you are growing and growning and are now ready for spiritual development...........I'd suggest you go back to God and give God a try..........now there's a challenge.
You are right to develop trust issues and distrust issues! Make your own boundaries and live by your developed trust. YOu are worth it! My best regards!

Paranoia: a type of delusion, a firmly held but nevertheless unrealistic belief that someone will harm you in some way, whether physically, mentally or emotionally.
could also be paranoid schizophrenia

yes you are suffering from mild depression and OCD obsessive compulsive disorder one of the symptoms is being parinoid along with counting things or checking things repeatably hand washing checking things like the stove being on,searching for your car keys checking to see if the door is locked over and over again and this happens with parionia thoughts go thru your mind they race over and over again and dont stop. if this lasts over 2 weeks you should see a dr and tell him/her whats going on and they may prescribe you something to calm down your thoughts and no you arent stupid

I think its called paranoia, speak to a psycologist about it, they will be able to get to the root of the problem and work out why you are feeling this way
