Definately a good thing! In fact one of the best ways to be woken up. Unless of course you have sunk a good half bottle of brandy before bed...then I find they get very cross with you when you are unable to accomodate them, although not for the lack of trying.

Why are you asking? If this is happening to you you would know whether it suits you or not.
If you are thinking of waking someone else up, I recommend being very slow and gentle, and not doing anything when they are asleep that you don't already know they like.
It can be wonderful though - doing it really fresh and without planning. And morning may suit some people's body clock better.

depends on what time they wake you at - being woken out of a gorgeous sleep at 4 in the morning with a prod in your back is SO not good!!!!!

It depends on how tired the sleeping party is...like, did they just finish a hellish work week, during which they groused about exhaustion? If you're romantic and giving and they aren't deathly tired, I think it's a good thing.

For me personally its a good thing! I really ain't fussed by the time morning, afternoon, evening or middle of the night i don't complain.
