This is such a very good question. I've always hated buttermilk & decided 50 years ago that I could avoid the issue by keeping milk out of my home! The bride has different ideas, so looking forward to the best answer.

1. It looks like a diluted toothpaste....2. Sometimes there will be bubble formation if it is kept for too many days...
