OK..I just asked a question concerning my 15 yr old son, and how he likes a girl at our Church...I was seeking advice on how to encourage him, and it seems that most of the answers are ASSuming that I am some kind of medling Mom..And I am not! Please fully read a question before you assume.....It is insulting

I agree with you.. many time it happens because of various reasons (1) sometime question formulation is as such that it has very subtle line between the two meaning (2) a person is running to gather his POINTS and fails to understand what is really asked..(3) yet some other time it is possible that a person is a non-english person and finds it difficult to understand properly and replies with assumption...

But it is good that you have again clarified..

Hun - I know exactly where you are coming from - I have posted Q's on here & people clearly only read every other word & then wanted to SLAM my name for it because they misconstrewed my Q totally - I am more careful about how I word things & try not to make the Q's so lengthy cause most people onhere are just cruising for points & dont really read the whole content
there are some who do -Like me - but sorry I dont know what to tell you about your son's case - I have a 7 month old babygirl & a 11 year old stepson -whose not into girls yet
but Good luck

Some people ask questions sarcastically or jokingly, so it is hard to spot a serious question. But I know that even when I post a serious question I will get at least a few rude remarks.... Some people either dont read English well or are just attempting to be funny. But it is insulting, you are right about that!

People are lazy.

People can't be bothered to read the questions properly before answering them (so often don't get the full story, and assume they know what they are talking about, or will fail to see that the question is actually tongue in cheek).

People also can't be bothered to always check their answers to see if they make sense.

The problem with questions like this is that you get bored halfway through reading them and then when it comes to answering, you've forgotten what the question was in the first place! So my advice to you is gonna have to be try re-booting your hard drive and starting in safe mode, if this doesn't work get hold of some Farley's Rusks and a pint of Full Cream Milk!
Hope this helps! ;-)

Well, just tell your son to introduce himself to her.. Or why not you start the opening step for your son like go to make friends with the girl's mother so that you can introduce your son to her daughter.. Due to both of your family and her family are same church, I think it is not a matter for you to getting to know each family in the church.. After that try to have times together with their family so that you can get to know her family background plus your son can have some times with their daughter too..

People answer quickly so they can have the first answer. Hence, most people don't take the time to read a longer question.

In most cases, the longer you make it the less it will get read.
Keep it short, you ain't a novelist.
