Even if you are drinking diet pepsi, the "empty calories" caused by the sugars can add weight over time. Also, the "caramel coloring" in Pepsi, as well as Coke was found to be damaging to one's system. Excessive soda drinking is bad for your bones.

People shouldn't answer questions if they don't know the facts.
Pepsi, and all soft drinks, in excess can cause damage to your system if you are pregnant, taking medications or are in poor health. Having one or two cans a day isn't going to kill you but it can add to some extra weight. The diet drinks will not cause you to gain weight, there are no sugar molecules in them, even products sweetened with Splenda. Splenda is made from sugar but the internal structure of it is changes so that your body can not absorb it. You get the taste of sugar without the calories or carbohydrates.
Without knowing why you ask this question, it is hard to give a complete answer. As far as Pepsi and other soft drinks eating the paint off of cars, I tried this a number of times and nothing happened. Just goes to show you that people LOVE to repeat things that are said without ever thinking about them or trying them out for themselves.

I think all cola's contain phosphoric acid ( i might have mis-spelled that word); i believe i read that too much of that can be bad for us! sorry, but i don't remember what health problems that can cause. U might want to type in cola and or phosphoric acid under Google or Yahoo Search, etc. and see what you could find out; i will do the same asp! Best wishes ! ( i dont drink much cola, but would not mind having a Pepsi right now!
but i'm hooked on Mountain Dew - which contains too much sugar and too much caffeine!

soft drinks like pepsi are harmful and bad for your body! here is why:
1- insulin guzzler : it stresses your bodys ability to process sugar.
2- Its a cause for tooth decay.
3- Its a bone wrecker, meaning it makes your bones Weaker!!
If you love sugar that much, try drinking natural healthy drinks like orange, apple or even vegetable juice. These are good for you and they are rich in multivitamins and antioxidants. :)

Yes..(1) all soda, especially dark colas, contain phosphorus which depletes your system of calcium..women especially need all the calcium they can get (2) It is extremely high in sugar (calories) I found personally, just by stopping drinking soda I dropped 10lb ins 13 days... (3) you can strip the paint off a car with it..imagine what it does to your stomach... that's just for starters..not to mention the caffiene in it ......
