Just don't mention the problems over the phone and enjoy one another's company. If you have a nice weekend of relaxing together you may find that the problem will iron themselves out.
Long distance relationships are very hard and sometimes frustrating, but if you both want it bad enough, you will make it work.

Enjoy being together and do the things you both are happy with. Me and my fella used to fight on the phone all the time we were apart because we missed each other so much but when we were together we never had a cross word as are intense feelings of love took over

It's much easier to sor tout difficulties face to face, if he's coming down friday night have a relaxed night without discussing them so that you're refreshed for tomorrow then face them head on Saturday morning, try and do it in a neutral place if /possible- cafe, park etc- ensure you have something really good you'll both enjoy planned for the afternoon and evening so you have a finite time to resolve the issues, then go and enjoy each others company.

I understand that you want to have a nice weekend, but you need to confront your problems, hiding them will only make it worse. I have been in this position, my husband worked away during the week and came home at weekends, after a year of doing this we split up because we pretended that everything was OK. We are back together now, and he has a job locally but I thought I had lost him forever.

Have a nice meal prepared. Have a tiny but special present for him wrapped up on the table. Say "I know we have things to talk about, to work out, but right now, give me a hug." Avoid drinking alcohol because that will wind up bring up your long-distance problems. If you think you can write out you problems -- do so, but give it to him in an envelope just as he is leaving. Have a good weekend!

I would say sex but that would ruin sex for the two of you.
The answer is just be happy and smile a lot.
Let things happen in their own time and it should work out.
If you force things you will cease to enjoy them.
