Reply to Adyghe1985:
Atheism is not a system of belief, worship, or conduct at all...there is no system or belief or preescribed conduct at all that prescribes certain responses to the existence (or non-existence) and character of God. Atheists simply do not share a belief in God that is held by others.

reply to midlandsharon:
Atheism is not a belief at all, atheists do not share the theists belief in god. It is not necessary to hold a believe that there is no God to be an atheist.

ignore that Adyghe1985 guy, hes one of those asshats that basically blame us atheist for everything they dont like. im sure he/she would love to blame us for 9/11.
the guy is a dumba*s.
atheism, if you have a brain, is not a religion. a simple glance at the definition is more than enough to come to that conclusion....just remember youre dealing with christians...theyre not all that bright....more dim than a dead bulb actually.

reply to your query that atheism is not a belief... beliefs are different (a way different) from faith. if i say i believe that the world isn't round, would it be not a belief? but you have faith that it's not round but more oval than round, right?
thing is, it is culled as a belief... not a religion. coz in religion, it's faith that really defines it. but the argument there (between faith and belief) were most intertwined since they tread almost similar approaches in definition. thus creating it's logic similarity in theory but so way different in theme. belief uses basis, verily true... facts, assumptions, theories... they are more applicable in beliefs. in faith, it is a deep rooted belonging... an inate approach to what seems and what is... one can be wrong in his belief but never in his faith. i am with you in agreement that it's not a religion... it really isnt. but some of your remarks were a bit awry in defining your stand and some errors on your part. i may notr have your beliefs but i have my faith of what holds true...
by the way, i'm a Catholic... and for that matter, i respect whatever belief or whatever faith one has. freewill, right? freedom to express his faith and beliefs? head strong, bro.... ciao

See the dictionary definition for religion, and you'll find out that it's not self-delusional to call atheism a religion.
"something one believes in and follows devotedly; a point or matter of ethics or conscience"

Who care about atheism. God don't and I definitely don't! Atheism is not special and as for as God's concern it doesn't exist nor do it's followers. Atheism is not religion but a weak cult full of asinine grownups trying to get acceptance in a Real world.

Idiot, I only answer your questions to amuse myself, you are nothing to me in reality. I pity you, but we will save that discussion for a time when I feel more in the mood to be entertained by monkies...
