Hi there again Julia... Anything purchased overseas or on eBay has to be suspect so illegit manufacturers take advantage of this so you can buy the knock-off phony product. You can try contacting 1-800 Pet Meds and see what they require to get some of the flea products. Here's their website so you can look up the prices too of both Frontline and Advantage: http://www.1800petmeds.com/

Here's another idea...try posting an ad on Craigslist Salem to see if anyone has some Advantage or Frontline for cats (not dogs as they are not the same dosing requirements). The online classified is free to use and post ads there. Here's the direct link to Craigslist Salem: http://salem.craigslist.org/pet/

Advantage is NOT a prescription item in the US any longer.
I suggest to save cash, you buy the large dog Advantage and break it down into smaller doses. It is the same concentration for dog and cat, there is just more of it in the dog tubes!!! I work at a cat shelter and we have been buying large dog for YEARS!!!
There are 4.0cc in the large dog tube, so you can treat 4-8 cats with one tube. It saves a TON of money!!! You can but it from Foster and Smith,Jeffers,KV Vet supply...any of the online companies. DO NOT BUY FROM E-BAY!!!!!!! You never know where THEY got it!!!!!!!!!
With using the large dog tubes for cats, you just open it and squirt it into a old medicine bottle. They you give all under 9 pound cats .4cc, and all the over 9 pound cats .8cc.
It will save you TONS of money each year!!!!!!!!! If you are treating all over 9 pound cats, you can treat about 5 cats with one tube.
Usually from places like Jeffers you can order a couple TB syringes..with no needle..or go to the pharmacy and get a childs oral dosing syringe to draw it up with.
Even if you keep buying the cat stuff, you can get it all over in the US. Most PetCo and Pet Smarts sell it by the box.

Again....A PRESCRIPTION IS NO LONGER REQUIRED IN THE US FOR ADVANTAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And remember..you have a FLEA PROBLEM NOW!!! You need to order 3 MONTHS for whatever you have 16 or 18 cats. One month is NOT going to treat your problem!!!!!!!!!
