Clean first pub later. Your wife has been at work all day, do you really think its fair she should have to come back and clean the house? Just do some hoovering, polish the telly and the coffee table, do the washing up and wipe the surfaces after. You can hoover the kitchen floor and wipe any stains with the dish cloth. Put some hot water in the sink with a cap ful of bleach and leave the dish cloth to soak, then all you need to do is leave that whilst your at the pub then let the water out when you get back, the sink will be sparkling!

Go to the pub, but leave a duster and some polish and stuff lying around to look like you were in midst of cleaning

Do some cleaning, leave the hoover plugged in and the duster on the coffee table, spray some polish in the air so it smells like you've been working and get off to the pub ... sit outside though because she'll smell it on you!

What do you think? As a cleaning frick I would say get the place spotless before you go to the pub because I am pretty sure you won't be able to do anything when you get back.

Do the cleaning really poorly then go to the pub, but get home before she does. When she sees that the cleaning isn't done right she will get mad and do it herself.

Clean/tidy up those parts that will be most noticeable and won't take too long, e.g., washing-up & hoovering...then go to the pub. Dusting etc is just for the ladies.

attraction to her sense of progression and get her to agree that it's time to bypass for the time of the living house and do away with something that may no longer relatively worth cleansing so which you will detect issues extra particularly, sparkling extra particularly, and characteristic extra area to artwork on the initiatives that are particularly precious. If somebody else can use it, donate it. If no longer, throw it away. as quickly as she has put in the attempt to do away with some issues, she'll understand that paying for extra pointless stuff will recommend having to do it as quickly as extra. P.S. in case you artwork or produce different finished-time commitments, cleansing must be finished on a capture-as-capture-can foundation. it form of feels to take much less time to easily save for brand spanking new issues, so this is comprehensible (yet quickly you get crushed with clutter). progression would be sluggish in the commencing up; do no longer anticipate her to get enthusiastic till she sees what a distinction some cleansing training have made.
