I don't think religion matters, though I do believe the lessons do.
But most religions teach the same, basic lessons, so...
The most important aspect is God.
The Baha'is believe, fiercely in fact, in the individual search for truth. Search for God yourself.
Don't take my word for it.
Don't take our's.
Don't take the Christians, nor the jews, nor, the Muslims.
Read, and look, and search for yourself. Make up your own opinion.
And if it happens to agree with a religion of some sort, which it just might, then Yahoo! Congrads! I'll be happy to shake your paw!
Weither it's Baha'i, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Wicca, or, hey just your own mut mix.
That's probably not very clear. But it's late, I'm tired, and better at writing fiction.
Anyway, best wishes.

God does care what religion you practice. The one that you practice needs to honor, and glorify him. Just your good works alone are not enough, as well as what is in your heart.. Someone may have really good intentions, but not KNOW God, and will still be punished even though God loves that person. God loves you so much, that he is warning you, and has warned you of your actions and that the only way to save yourself is to repent, and accept Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.
So yes, It does matter what religion you are. It is all about God, and knowing his Son, Jesus.
Thank you for the question, and may all of the answers have truth in them, no lies. Amen.

I personally do not believe that God really cares the religion per se. I think He is more interested in the message that different religions provide--and that is to help out the less fortunate, be grateful for your time here, and love others. I don't think that is too difficult--no matter where your derriere parks itself on Sunday morning.

Religion is not G-d's priority. To seek and save those who do not know the way to Him is. You cannot walk w/Him unless you know Him.
Micah 6:8
L-rd requires us to deal justly, to love mercy and walk humbly with Him.
Love G-d with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. Deu 6:5
It does matter What you believe, Who your G-d is.
It is a matter of Heaven or Hell.
As for religion, I go where I can trust my shepherd. If the Pastor is teaching from the Holy Word of God then I can sit under that teaching..........even if he did not believe exactly as I do..
But I prefer to go to a Church that has a name of the Religion so others will know what I believe...such as Maranatha Baptist, Missionary Lutheran, Messianic Temple, etc..

over the years many assholiness people have painted 'god' (assuming s/he exists) as child murdering cruel etc types but come on? that doesn't sound like anyone you should worship to. so for your own sanity and mental record, go for the apparently quite elusive idea that 'god' simply wishes that you be a good person as best as possible, and maybe offer up an occasional prayer or thanks for what you have, just in case. oh yeah, and most of all, don't use his/her name to murder people or other shittiness. If 'god' exists, that's got to rub on her/his nerves a little... assuming the one has nerves... now see? don't think too much about it. the only 'god' worth worshiping is not at all like the asswipes painted in bibles and scrolls etc.

i personally prescibe to no religion because humans interept the word of god and therefore make errors. The best thing I have found is to live in a manner tha casues no harm to others, while rejoicing the little joys in life.

uh....well grammar is a priority in your case...
im an atheist but i can assume that if there was a god he wouldnt really care what religion you subscribed to. im sure all he cares about is wether youve lived a good life.
if christianity wants more followers then i reccomend it take that view. of course it wont but i can reccomend it does.

no god doesn't care what religion you practice as long as you worship HIM ALONE WITH NO PARTNERS!!!
but Islam is the way of life in which God wants us to follow!!
the best way to get us closer to him and be righteous in this life.
peace.

Is God going to segregate us at the Pearly Gates? I think we did enough of that during the Holocaust. God loves us all, Catholic, Protestant, Jew- we're all the same when you come down to it.
