I've heard it said that self-pity can be another form of pride. How would that be?

Self-pity is a way of thinking that we deserve more than we got. That is prideful to think that way.

Because to pity one self means that one is not open to the possibilities of options for change, to make the "situation" better. Thereby in essense saying to the rest of the world I would rather have ppl feel sorry for me (pride) than to do something positive to change or correct the situation & thus end the very reason for self pity.

well pride is not tusting in God and tusting in your self. you feel self pitty cuz u dont tust in God and fail your self
