You can't just strip the color out, you have to put a toner back in. Dye it a darker blonde color.

There are lighteners with toner already expertly mixed.

Apply a lightener with a blue base (clairol born blond makes one, now -- look on the back of the box and it'll say that it reduces brassiness), and the brassy tones will even out. Orange and yellow are a stage or two above the blond you probably want. The clairol kind will lighten a stage every 10 minutes.

You didn't do anything wrong. You just probably had darker hair to begin with and you need a little more time. I'm the same way.

Should have used a toner. In an emergency, which this is, there is a shampoo that works for color treated hair, called Shimmer Lights, but I am not so sure it will work if you didn't use a toner. It's worth a try. Let a professional do it; take the stress off yourself!

You could try a toner, I am assuming you are a brunette. You may need to see a hair dresser about a reverse color or to take it to the proper stage you were looking for. There are several reasons that could have happened. Water quality, (well water) shampoo. Or meds you are taking.

You didn't leave the colour in long enough. you could re do your blond or try purple toner to remove the yellow.

unfortunately, that problem was caused by the chemicals in your water. You will probably either have to darken it to a dark brown or black shade, or go to a salon to have it fixed.
