I have not had any. I have been driving for 16 years. But I do think they over charge on certain tickets.

I have received 3 moving violations in my lifetime and it cost me approximately $320 I have also recieved 2 non-moving violations in my personal vehicle and that cost about a couple hundred if i remember correctly. I have received about 4 non-moving violations in a commercial vehicle that cost approximately $850. The commercial vehicle charges are usually way outrageous, but i got lucky on mine they were not too bad, but they go up each time you get the same violation. And some non-moving violations for commercial vehicles start in the thousands of dollars. Overall in personal vehicles I think the rices are pretty much fair possibly even too low as I see many people do many stupid things. I need both hands and feet plus the hands and feet of at least a couple more people to count the number of times I have seen people make left hand turns from a right hand lane and right hand turns from left hand lanes and the near misses they cause in the process. It would take an army to count the number of veicles I have seen exit a freeway with four or more lanes from the left lane, even during rush hour.

I've only gotten one traffic ticket, for speeding. I was on my way to visit my husband (who was my fiancé at the time) and he told me that there were never any cops along that particular stretch of road. He was wrong. I was pulled over after passing another car, going 10 mph faster than I had been before passing. That was some bullshit. If the cop hadn’t clocked me as I was passing, he probably never even would've pulled me over, I was only going 5 mph over before passing. I don’t even remember how much the ticket cost me.

i think 5 or 6. not sure but ive been pulled over about 10 times. hey guys heres a tip if you are criminally speeding (20 + over). DONT LIE TO THE COP!!! everY cop who has pulled me over for speeds that should have gotten me a criminal speeding ticket, reduced the charge or didnt ticket me at all because i tell them the absolute truth!! i told them how fast i was going, and what the speed limit was!! if you dont lie and treat the officer respectfully, HOLY **** WHAT DO YOU KNOW? THEY TREAT YOU WITH RESPECT AND MIGHT EVEN LET YOU GO!!!

Maybe 8, total.

None in the past three years; no accidents in over 12 years.

Probably paid between $750-$1000. I think the penalties are just about right. In fact, they could raise them a bit, maybe people would drive with more care.

I've gotten about 10, but taken defensive driving to get five of them nullified. I've probably paid $700 in fines, but the last one was $160 of that - for a burnt out tail-light bulb - EVEN THOUGH I SHOWED THE COP THAT I PURCHASED A TAIL LIGHT BULB THAT VERY SAME DAY AND HAD A RECEIPT TO PROVE IT AS WELL AS THE BULB STILL IN THE PACKAGE IN MY HAND!!! Sorry. It still infuriates me and it's the reason I still don't like cops five years later. Yes, the price of citations has gone up and it's retarded.

3 so in my 30 yrs of driving. There's no such thing as overcharge. The fine is dealt out accordingly to the kind of traffic violation.

Don't go breaking the law if you don't want to pay the fine.

A pair, many years ago.
But I doubt the fines were more than $200 together.

Actually, I think fines might be too low today.

In Sweden, the fines are applied based on a person's annual income.

That would shake up things in the US.

I stopped counting after 100. Once you are marked to the police they don't even find reasons to pull you over. I probably paid out over 50.000 or so. Mind u I don't have any speeding, accidents, or dui's.
