what i found out in my life is that there is some stuff you can't forget or get over. Some stuff you have to learn how to get around to get on with living.
forgetting your past is like forgetting a thing that makes you who you are. like your reactions to things and people. those things will be with you forever, so the best you can do is try to find someway to get the route plotted to get around the things that make you cringe when you think of them.

I don't think you can truly forget your past, trying to do so would only make the past a bigger obstacle to overcome. I also find that when I'm trying to get rid of a memory from my conscious, it is only shifted into my unconscious, in which new problems will arise, especially in forms you will not expect. The best way to forget ones past is to face up to it, accept it, and to know that it was a learning experience.
The more you want to forget something, the more you'll think about it and the less you'll forget it.

There is no way to forget the past. The traumas of your past will resurface in your mind, no matter what.

The trick is controlling that, and making it positive. Don't dwell on the bad things that happened, and be more involved in what's going on around you at the moment.

You might find it very difficult to forget the past. There is just one way.Try your best to be happy with your present life.Read books, meet people and be cheerful.Make yourselves engaged in something or the other. Then you wont have a second for anything else

You’re your own master by letting the past or any negative thoughts be forgotten.

We must live each day in its own right and glean from each day those pleasures and satisfactions it might offer, to have a brighter future.

Forgetting your past is your first step away from being a "victim"!

Uh, you should be more specific about this question. Add details, or at least vague ones.
