A week ago, I rededicated my life to the Lord after not going to church for 6 months and not having a relationship with God for a year. Now, I'm so excited to have a relationship with God again that I can think of little else. I literally want to jump up and down. I now love to go to church and to watch Christian TV. It's as Pastor John Hagee says, "there's no high like the Most High" My church has a Bible college that it's recruiting for, and I'd thought about going to it back when I was involved in church before, but now I have a burning desire to go there. I'm already enrolled in a Master's program in another field, and I still want to do that, but I now want to have a ministry in addition to working in my current field (which is politics so that can be a minsitry of it's own!) I'm 24 by the way. My mom's Christian too and I think she seems to think I'm a bit too excited about this. Am I or is this normal? It does feel really good.

Praise God this is more than good! Tell ur mom that I am jumping for joy more than she is because our youth have chosen the noble and righteous ways of God and not the destruction of sin. God is Awesome. I will pray for you and I encourage you to remain focus because Satan is out to steal, kill and destroy but God in heaven is rejoicing and he will cover and protect you. This is beyond normal! God bless!

Shalom

Find something that is you. Don't get caught up with the hype, because its a marathon not a sprint. 24 is a weird age (i'm 24 too) and I have found that ministry can be dangerous if you are not convicted or called to do it. Enjoy the passion, and if you are still passionate about it in a few months time, and you have thought and prayed about it heaps, and the answer seems to be yes, then go for it. There is nothing wrong with living a quiet life for the lord either. Do what you feel you must, and do not live in regret.

I agree with mosydog's comment. This is exciting again for you, and that is wonderful! Don't let the excitement rush you into something you are not called to do. If you are truly called into ministry you will still feel the calling while you are in school and may do some ministering during that time. You don't have to be a pastor of a church to be able to minister to people, dont forget that. God Bless You, In the name of Jesus.

My advice is to finish your master's and then go for the Bible
college. After doing the Master's the Bible college will probably
seem refreshing. I wish I had gotten my master's when I had
the chance.

2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

I believe this applies to secular as well as spiritual studies.

Yes it is normal, don't fight it! In the meantime, however, build your relationship with the Lord Jesus and your prayer life and in understanding and knowing the Word (Read the Bible!!!).

Seek the Lord's leading in all things and then follow it whatever it is. Do no be afraid to forsake things that may have seemed important but are not what the Lord wants... Be blessed in Jesus!

I say go for it if you rlead to do that! Even if your going for the sake of just learning go! But get the Masters first don't overload yourself! Then you'll just crash and you don't want that! You need to think with a clear head! You just got back rigth with God don't go Crazy with it! Calm down relax a little get the Masters then go to the Bible college! Grace and Peace!

I don't go to church myself, but I do believe in God. I think it's great that you feel like this. I think God just called you to be a minister, and if that's what you want to do, you should. Go ahead a be excited about it. People get far more excited about a lot less than this. Good luck.

It is perfectly normal. You're on fire and that's one of the most beautiful feelings in the world. Relish it because you will not have this high forever and you'll need to look back on this feeling of incredible closeness to God with vivid detail in order to make it through the valleys, when He seems so far away. I would, however be very careful to avoid overloading yourself in Christain "service" in order to prevent burn out. Make sure you continue to feed yourself spiritually or you WILL starve. Devote most of your time to studying His word and growing even closer to Him. Many blessings.

Have you prayed this through thoroughly? I see the words "I want" and "I am" "I have a burning desire" and "feel good" a lot in your explanation. But are you sure this is God's perfect plan and purpose for your life? Take time, pray it through, ask for guidance from the Holy Spirit. In our all ministry, the ultimate satisfaction is to give God glory and honor.

Yeah, pretty much.
Make your mark & do something good.
But, make sure you have support from people you can hang out with, & be friends with.
That way they can encourage you when you feel down.
The walk is a battle & it's not for the faint of heart.
Oh yeah, don't forget to pursue your secular goals(school, business, & personal) that way
you become a well rounded person.
