To Mature Christians Out there: how do you express your affection in a long distance relationship?

As a Christian, If you are in a long distance love relationship how do you males express love and care? and how do you as females express love and care to someone who is miles and miles away? How will your loved one feel and know that you are really serious and love "him or her" honestly? Please give examples, if you could.

Early on in my relationship with the man who is now my husband, we were apart for a month. During that time, we talked frequently on the phone (although neither one of us had a lot of money to spend on long distance, so "frequently" meant about every 3rd day for no more than a half hour). I wrote him a letter every night, and mailed about 3 or 4 at a time in one envelope, to save on postage. He sent me about 4 packages during that time, with letters and other fun stuff. One thing he did was make a puzzle out of a poem he wrote for me. Another thing he did was make a tape of him singing some love songs.

We also scheduled time to pray together, meaning to commit to pray at a certain time, knowing that the other one was doing so also. And, we scheduled times to go outside and look at the moon, or to watch a certain show, or whatever, so that we could feel as if we were actually with each other.

But, the winner of the creative and earn lots of points with me award was when he sent flowers to my mother (I was visiting my parents) with a card that read, "You have a great daughter".

If its meant to be you would find a way to be with each other.. and im sorry to say but if you are still young and there is some maturity issues in this.. it probably wont work out and even though it may feel right..its probably not Love.
