If a couple has children, they would be wise not to make their children the center of their universe, since children usually grow up and have lives of their own. The center of a couple's life should be the couple themselves.

If you believe in GOD, you should both put him first. But, after that, in answering your question: You really should put your mate first. In my experience, when I put my man's needs first, it enables me to take care of him and my kids better. Meaning, I make sure he's happy and taken care of-then he's better at his job, at home, everywhere he is because he's content. Then he takes care of me better-I'm happy. Then, I take better care of the kids-they're happy. Hope this helps
