We are also saddened by his death. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Honestly, I thought he was a real jackazz for buggin wild animals in their element. When you say something like, "Crikey, look here mate, this is what an animal does for self-defense when you do this to it!"...isn't that a clue that the animal doesn't like what you are doing, and you should probably leave it alone?!?!?! He antagonized animals and was just lucky...till now. It was never a matter of "if" he would die from messin with wild animals...it was always a matter of "when". It was bound to happen sooner or later. I always hated that guy. I am however, sorry that his wife and kids are left behind. No family should have the father/husband taken by death. It is a sad thing for them...but I still think he got what he deserved.

No one should die like that.

The guy seemed genuine, and probably started out right.

But once you get in the hands of producers, look out. Suddenly it's ONLY about money and franchising and bottom lines. How much control did he have of his initial idea ?.

I have no idea myslef, but when I saw him dangling his baby in front of a croc, I knew some line was being crossed.

However, let us BEWARE and go easy on judging on scant fact.
Pray for his peace. THAT IS WHAT COUNTS.

We're all going, one way or another, by stingray or on the barcalounger.

Myself and relatives have watched him for some years and all of us thought that sometime he could die from between the animals. nevertheless I in no way concept it can be a sting ray!! And he did not galvanize it. i presumed it fairly is a croc that would desire to get him. He became fairly gifted with the animals and he did very academic showsl Prayers to Terri and his toddlers nevertheless I do have faith that they are going to save on what Steve enjoyed doing.

Well... I never liked the way he will tease animals, but I liked his charisma and what he was trying to bring to kids and us to know...it was all his huge adventure....I am sorry to hear this news, but is just part of life he was playing with fire and though he knew it all, that is the bad part about to much passion and sort of *********.but with a great educational outcome...he proved us the human existance onces more hitting like lighting, you never know, you can be a pro at this...but nature is off you control no matter how much you know.
My respects for someone so passionate, but at the same time so selfish...there is not good or wrong just a passionate human , trying to the right thing in a selfish way.

I did. He was an "Origional", whose enthusiasm for what he believed in- transended his persona. You had to be a pretty dour person not to at least grudgingly like the guy. I heard Russell Crowe admired him...- and THAT proves my point. The Crocodiles will be shedding REAL tears for the passing of such a man. Crikes Steve- we're gonna miss you...

I did too. My son really enjoyed watching his shows and learning about the animals he worked with. I thought he was just adorable. So full of enthusiasm and good cheer. I'm very sad for his family also.

His directors made good use of his enthusiastic movements, peculiar way of expression and tough muscular body.
I am really sad for his young wife and cute little children.
I liked the way he admired his mother and dedicated all his achievements to her.
May God rest his soul in peace.
What a man he was.

I wouldn't say I loved him. I thought he was pretty brave at times, considering his choice of work. It is sad that he has passed. It amazes me how after all those years, it was something you would least expect to take his life.
