Mother cats are highly instinctive. They will stop nursing when nature tells them to. We have many, many farm cats and the mothers stop nursing their kittens at different ages. All the kittens seem healthy, though.

Hi Indian, Most kittens stop nurseing at 5-6 weeks,But if they are still nurseing and mommy cat still lets them nurse, then it's okay. The kittens still need the sucking, and they miss that.So mother natural is watching over them.

Usually, when the mother decides she wants her teats back. She should have stopped them a while ago, just going by what is usual, but like some human parents, animals can get walked all over by their children too.

stpo them immediatley! the should have stopped doing this at about 2 months old. Keep an eye on them! that's what i did to may kittens. everytime they try to drink from their mom, slap them but not very hard.

they should be weaned at 8-10 wks as long as they are eating well. allowing them to continue will harm your female...nursing and whelping takes a toll on the calcium reserves...wean them and let her regain her health.
