I want to eat right, but I don't know what "right" is. I'm in college and I don't really know how to cook, or what to buy that would be nutritious. I mean, of course I'm not licking the edges of a lard can, but I've gained 20 pounds eating my own snackish diet. Is a side of meat and veggies good for you? etc. Thanks for advice!

Here are the basics:
You can never go wrong with fruits and veggies. Nuts are good for you, dried fruit is enjoyable. Stay away from chips and soda and fast foods. Drink lots of water. Chicken and fish are the healthiest meats. Don't forget to exercise! Pineapples, oranges, and lemons help you break down food. Yogurt is also really good for you if you like it. Cereal is not as bad as people say it is. Oatmeal is good for you, too. Just don't add lots of sugar. Good luck!

how much exercise do you have in your life. Most people don't understand that exercise controls your weight. Yes, diet is important and nutritional healthy organic choices are great, but exercise and positive self image controls your what your weight will end up being. Exercise is the human thermostat. It controls what you look like and how you feel about yourself. The more you train the better you will feel about yourself. The less you train the lower your self esteem, confidence, production at your career. It affects everything you do. Just exercise and you can get away with eating just about anything you want. I exercise all the time and I feel fantastic and I get to eat whatever I want. Most of my choices are organic, but I can also go down the street and get a hamburger, pizza, hot dog, just about anything I want.

Come on Snickels you weren't born yesterday.. yer in college. of course meat and veg are good for you.. have at least 3-4 ounces of protein at each meal.. have bacon and eggs for breakfast, tuna on salad with boiled egg added to salad for lunches or cottage cheese, and chicken and veggies for dinner..these are low cost nutritious suggestions.. Stop with the pasta, rice, potatoes and bread, you will lose the weight.. that means chips, popcorn candy and soda pop.
