This is answering (obviously) from a guy's perspective. Some people don't know how to communicate properly. It comes down to the pressure they put themselves under to conform to the stereotype of not wanting to be seen to be 'weak'. They would class showing emotion of any kind as 'weakness' and don't properly address their emotions as they feel this is a 'womanly' or 'girlie' thing to do. Therefore when they do feel emotions of insecurity, jealousy, etc they have a complete inability to deal with it and tend to act in varying degrees of irrationality.

My best advice to you is to talk to him about how you feel, so it doesn't put him in a position where he feels directly 'threatened' i.e. give him the chance to talk about his feelings in a non confrontational way. You can either work with him on it or just accept that that is the way he is and just learn to deal with it. It sounds pretty blunt, but there is only so much working with someone you can do before you realise you could be wasting your time.

He is young and isn't exactly sure what he wants. He wants his cake and to eat it too. He is not ready to settle down. I know this type all too well. I was dating a 25 y.o. that said he loved me constantly, was super jealous but would not answer my calls and ignore me. I later found text messages from 3 different girls. From one of them they were x rated and it was obvious they had had sex. I cut it off from there and nevrer looked back.
This guy sounds like an a- hole. I say cut him loose. Life is too short. There are men out there that will treat you like a princess. Please feel that you are worth it.

Hes trying to sidestep everything. His guy friend will make fun of him for not being "macho" and listening to your needs and stuff like that. Hes trying to impress you and his guy friends, and thats usually a conflict of interest. That or he cant decide what he wants yet and so hes keepign you close enough that youll stay till he makes up his mind but not too close that hes "locked in."

guys always show the wrong signs in love believe me i know, my ex fiance, i loved her so much but i accidently say something that she doesnt agree with but i dont mean it.

guys are weird i know i am one. it may look like he doesnt care but he really does.

he could just be trying to get things straight in his life, sometimes you have to give a guy a little bit of space, not all guys like girls clinging on to them 24/7

Females often are the ones who want commitment and relationships. Men more often than not just want the sex. They are simply trying to play your game. No, they will not admit this, that would be foolish! If he is ready he will happily go to it, like a moth to fire!

because you have magazines like cosmo and seventeen or whatever their names are which TEACH you all the signals.

most guys go through life trying to figure the rules out, while you had them handed to you in a magazine rife with fashion models.

depends on his age and level of maturity...... guys are just guys..... words can not explain them, and I cant even begin to give you an answer here...... we all mature at different ages, and all have different ways of expressing what and how we feel..... guys do not use a lot of words.... we have to learn to read between the lines just like they do with us girls...... God bless
