Deuteronomy
Chapter 2

32-37

And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest inherit his land. 32 Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz. 33 And the LORD our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people. 34 And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain. 36 From Aroer, which is by the brink of the river of Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us: the LORD our God delivered all unto us

So Moses and his army killed women and children. Moses broke the 6th commmandment, thou shall not kill ANYONE. Or I see, when its in war it okay? Yet when Muslims say the 6th commandment is followed, but in war its different, Christians say nooooo. Either way, The Quran does not say kill women and children, I CHALLENGE ANY CHRISTIAN TO BRING THE VERSE RIGHT NOW. We see it in your Bible, one of your greatest prophets killing women and children by God's permission, meaning Jesus allowed it! So hence Jesus was responsible for killing women and children, and so was Moses so according to the Christians own argument, Moses cannot be a prophet since he killed. Note Moses and his army did this to many cities, verse 37 says there was not one city which was strong enough in the plural sense, hence up to 6 or 7 cities were destroyed with its women and children? What is the Christian response?

Youve lost me completely.. First where in the Bible does it say jesus allowed the slaughter of a people?

2nd. You seem to be a believer in some sort of God.. are you Muslim? then you should know that God's word is holy, Righteous and All incompassing. You question his word? as you quoted many times and "God delvered all" so that means he had a plan. From different points in the Bible i believe that God may view Life and death a little differently from what we do. If a nation of people is killed by people acting on God's will then a part of that plan? and youll notice that from the Old testament to the New that in the New there is no mention of these types of wars. Maybe just Maybe God has something new or it may even be part of the same plan just for a different era. I dont know what God's Plan is for all of us.. i suppose you do?

And Christians are not the ones straping explosives and actually have trainning to carry out Jihad on Americans and EVEN OTHER MUSLIMS! .. sure the US is a millitary might in the world we have Bombs that can and have caused much damage and death..i dont like it. But we are not the ones saying it is a Holy war. We dont want to kill off Muslims. We just want to end those Muslims that believe we are the infidel and must die by any means necessary.

Its called judgment. I know you think you got us cornered but you dont. God gave the commandment not to kill, true, but He destroyed these cities for the same reason He destroyed sodom and gamorah. Unrepentant sin. Israel allways had these people called foreigners. These were not Israelites but those who chose to obey Gods doctrine even though they werent born jews, and those who didnt, faced Gods wrath just as these cities mentioned or ninevah (which was destroyed a few years after Jonahs visit because of unrepentence), which they all had women and children. God destroyed all the first born of egypt because pharoah wouldnt obey. God does these things because He is a just, Holy, and righteous God and we cant understand or see His complete view of sin. He judges how he needs to and it dont seem right to us but God has told us that our thoughts and ways are not His. No one can say this is for sure but when you go back and read all the instances where He destroyed whole citys, there is unrepentence and disobedience by mankind, for a cause that God has ordained such as giving Israel their land back or destroying the first born in egypt when all they had to do was be obedient for how to protect their first born from being killed. Great question

Do not insult Moses, he is a great prophet of Allah. A lot of the prophets fought, yet christians insult Muhammad for fighting. its the same with having more than 1 wife and dying a natural death. they think Jesus is the rule, where in many cases he is the exception.

Oh ok sorry, I agree with what you are saying

Surah II: 98 – “Allah is the enemy of the unbelievers.”
Surah II: 191-193 – “Kill them [unbelievers] wherever you find them….Fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah.”
Surah II: 216 – “Fighting is enjoined on you, and it is an object of dislike to you; and it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you, and it may be that you love a thing while it is evil for you, and Allah knows, while you do not know.”
Surah III: 19 – “Surely the true religion with Allah is Islam…and whoever disbelieves in the communications of Allah then surely Allah is quick in reckoning.”
Surah IV: 104 – “Be not weak in pursuit of the enemy.”
Surah V: 51 – “O you who believe! Do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whosoever among you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.”
Surah VIII: 12 – “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.”
Surah VIII: 15-17 – “O you who believe! When you meet those who disbelieve marching for war, turn not your backs to them. Whoever shall turn his back to them on that day – unless he turn aside for the sake of fighting or withdraws to a company – then he, indeed, becomes deserving of Allah’s wrath, and his abode is hell… So you did not slay them, but it was Allah who slew them…that He might confer upon the believers a good gift from Himself; surely Allah is Hearing, Knowing.”
Surah IX: 29 – “Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth… until they pay the tax in acknowledgement of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.”
Surah IX:33 – “[Allah] it is who sent His Apostle with guidance and the religion of truth, that He might cause it to prevail over all religions, though polytheists may be averse.”
Surah IX: 73 – “O Prophet! Strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is their destination.”
Surah IX: 123 – “O you who believe! Fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in your hardness; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil).”

Nowhere in the bible does it say "thou shalt not kill anyone". The old testament is full of sins that God required the death penalty. Slavery, in the old testament, was punishable by the death penalty(Exodus 21:16; Deuteronomy 24:7). Some sins are worse than others. Some require severe penalties and some require mild penalties. Even the Koran has sins that require the death penalty. How about converting from Islam? It's called the sin of apostasy. Read your history books. Mohammad conquered all of Arabia. He conquered it with the sword. Then Mohammad died and the arabians all said "wonderful, the prophet is dead... we can leave this religion".....and they did. Then the people whom Mohammad left in charge got together and decided that those who left the faith must come back or die. Then went out and re-conquered arabia and slaughtered 70,000 arabians. That's known in history as the war of apostasy.
The 6th commandment just says thou shalt not murder.
Genesis 15:12-16 says this " When the sun was setting, a deep sleep overcame Abram, and a horror (a terror, a shuddering fear) of great darkness assailed and oppressed him.
And said to Abram, Know positively that your descendants will be strangers dwelling as temporary residents in a land that is not theirs , and they will be slaves there and will be afflicted and oppressed for 400 years.
But I will bring judgment on that nation whom they will serve, and afterward they will come out with great possessions.
And you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old (hoary) age.
And in the fourth generation they shall come back here again, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full and complete.

This passage occurred 430 years before Joshua entered canaan and it tells you why God ordered Joshua to go in there and exterminate the canaanites. It says "the iniquity of the amorites was not yet full". In other words, in Abrahams' day, even though those people were wicked, they weren't wicked enough to require Gods judgement on them. It took 430 more years before God finally said "that's it". You can't fault the bible for saying that God is going to judge sin. Even the Koran says that. Nowhere in the bible does God ever tell the jews or anyone else to conquer people to convert them. In christianity, a forced conversion is not a true conversion. What happened with those Fox news reporters recently, where they were told "convert or die" could never be done based on a bible verse. The so-called innocents in those lands had 430 years to leave. I suspect that the real innocent ones did leave. I know that these people knew that God was going to judge that land because we read in Joshua 2:8-11:
¶ "Before the two men had lain down, Rahab came up to them on the roof,
And she said to the men, I know that the Lord has given you the land and that your terror is fallen upon us and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.
For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the side of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.
When we heard it, our hearts melted, neither did spirit or courage remain any more in any man because of you, for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath". Rahab told that to the two spies who went in to spie out the land of Jericho.
Those people had 430 years to leave before judgement hit. Sin brings disease. When people start all kinds of decadent forms of sex, you're going to have disease. The possibility of sexual diseases like aids and even worse which, back in those days, would have no treatment at all, could wipe out millions. I suspect that some of the tribes did have such diseases and anybody....man, woman or child that was infected had to be killed. If you read the passages on Joshuas conquests carefully you'll see that God didn't command everybody to be killed in every tribe. But some he did. In some tribes God said kill all men, women, children and even the animals. Why would God tell the jews to kill the animals? Animals were considered a soldiers booty in the ancient wars. It was his reward for fighting and they're not told to kill the animals in every tribe. But in some they were told that. I believe that's because even the animals in those villages were infected.
This passage seems to bother you. It bothers me too. I'll tell you why. I have Muslims come up to me all the time and tell me "America is morally decadent". They're always surprised at my answer. They expect me to say"go back to the middle east". But I have a standard answer for that statement. I usually say " don't preach to me about america's moral decadence....you're preaching to the choir". I agree america is becoming morally decadent and there's 40 million evangelical christians who will agree with that statement too. Why do you think we're all taking our kids out of the public schools and home schooling them. You see nothing but filth on TV, at the movies...if you go to the beach you've got women running aroung nearly naked....they've kicked God out of the schools, out of the courts, out of all public places......and that's why those passages in the old testament bother me. You see God is going to judge sin in any nation. Just the way he used the jews to judge the wicked canaanites, later when the jews became wicked he used the Assyrians,Babylonians and even the Romans to judge the jews and when America becomes decadent enough(and I believe we're getting awefully close), God will use somebody to judge us.
I get a lot of complaints when I say that(as I probably will in the next couple of days for saying it here in this forum). Americans just don't like to hear that. I guess I just don't care anymore. God loves Muslims. I even believe that in the end times the bible teaches that millions of Muslims will come to Christ. You say "where do you see that in the bible". Look at Isaiah 19:23-25.
It says:
In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria; and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians.
In that day Israel shall be the third, with Egypt and with Assyria , a blessing in the midst of the earth,
Whom the Lord of hosts has blessed, saying, Blessed be Egypt My people and Assyria the work of My hands and Israel My heritage.
I believe Islamics will come to Christ because God does love islamics.
