Why do you feel that is ok to have premarital sex? The Bible states very plainly that fornicators and adulters will not inherit the kingdom of God.(1 Corinthians 6:9-10) . . .What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom. . .

Not only the Bible; but, the Holy Books of every major world religion. Why would God counsel us like that in every religion, if there wan't something to it?

Since He created us, He knows whats good for His creation and what is damaging to it. The Sacred Texts are just Instruction Manuals for mankind--yet, we ignore them and wonder why we can't find happiness. How foolish we are..

I'm so happy to hear you say what you said. It's so clear in every religious text. More religios people should make it a point to let the world know--the whole world doesn't "do it!"

You make it sound as if you had premarital sex you have no chance of salvation. If thats the case let me condemn the rest of humanity. In rev 22:8 (i think) it says that all liars will have their part in hell. I know you didnt mean it this way but we all make mistakes, and most people dont think its ok but just dont care, even Christians. There is forgivness for anybody who is called by God and willing to accept His salvation. The key word is the unrighteous in this verse. These people are the unsaved and are guilty of sin as we all are or were, not necessarly just fornication. Once Christ saves us He doesnt see us as these sinful beings anymore but washed by the blood of the Lamb, and not continually being washed but washed, done, finished, Praise God. Of course it doesnt give a christian the right to live or do as we want, as somone asked paul " do we sin so that grace may abound" and paul said "God forbid".

With regards to sex:
With times perceptions change. In the olden days when such theories held good, for women were chattel, belongings of men, such rules did apply, and correctly so-for a child born out of wedlock was shunned, and become a pariah for society. The fear of God was the only thing that held people in check.

Today laws are different, alimony, childcare, child support have greatly helped bring up children born out of wedlock in a manner suitable to the society of today.

As far as lawlessness, crime is concerned, atonement, redemption even at the last breath could be a road to salvation, but why spend a life time of sinning and then fearing? It is and will always be wrong in the eyes of society

If you are going to believe this passage...literally...then you need to do a lot more research...
the words "fornicator" and "adulterer" did not mean -back then-what they have come to mean in today's language. The practices that these words condemned meant are very specific under Talmudic and later, Rabbinic law.....they don't have to do with premarital sex....more like prostitution and extra marital sex

First of all, it's God's duty to judge. People don't like being preached at. People want to SEE a sermon, not hear one.

Second of all, I do agree with you that premarital sex is wrong.

premartial sex is wrong in my eyes because you open yourself up emotionally to this other person you are not sure your going to marry! what if it doesn't work out? what you just leave and walk out? Now that person has a piece of you with them and then they go into a different relationship with you and them and the cycle continues until it stops! Then when you finally get married you have to deal with all the people you slept with and now your wife is sleeping with you and your past relationships and your sleeping with her past relationships! nobody thinks of it that way be cause they are thinking about now!

Uhhh, I don't believe that premartial sex is okay so back up! So stop asking questions in such broad generalities. There are Christian people on here that do believe in being chaste before marriage.

It seems pretty rediculous, in our day and age, with all the advances we've made, to not have premarital sex. How will we know the marriage will work out without prior sexual activity?

God's got dirt on all of us. Do the best you can, He'll sort it all out in the end.

Whether Christians think it is wrong or not, most do it anyway. They have that easy cop-out of repent and forgiveness! How convenient!
