My g/f has epilepsy she is disable from it. She pretty much gets those feelings before she has one. I understand what your going through and it does get to you. I watch my g/f get depress cause there are so many jobs she would love to do but for one she can't do to risk and safety and two no one will hire her due to insurance reasons. It can control many things about your life and can restrict you on many things too. It can be a disabling thing.

Best thing to do is find friends who have the same disorder, groups etc... Even post something like this is a good step too.
Your more than welcome to e-mail me if you like my g/f can not read another disable she has but has great advise as well.

It's hard to not let it get to you but you don't have to let it control your life. We all have different types of disabilities we just gotta learn how to deal with them even when they bring us down.
I know u don't know me but your not alone just lending a ear and a hand if u ever need one:o)
Best Wishes to u dear...

I have adult onset epilepsy and the symptoms I first had with my first seizure was extreme fatigue that slowly graduated to dizziness and nausea followed by loss of consciousness.
You don't necessarily have to lose consciousness when having a seizure as it depends on what part of your brain is affected. Because a feeling of "being out of sorts" sounds a little vague, it can mimic a lot of different things from low blood sugar to simple fatigue. If your symptoms persist, it would be wise to see a neurologist where the proper tests (E.E.G.) could be done to confirm any suspicions. Epilepsy is very treatable and there are good medications out there to ward off seizures. Small partial seizures are simply annoying but depressing if you don't know what you are dealing with. If ignored however, they could lead to a grand mal. My suggestion is to get a total work up to discount other possibilities. Good Luck!

My daughter has seizures, although she was never diagnosed with epilepsy. She first feels kinda funny, passes out & trembles & shakes all over. when she finaly comes to, she's very confused & cries cuz she doesn't know what happened.
This started when she was 17, she's 22 now.
She is 9n Depakote & that works really well. Can't drink alcohol tho.
Good luck!!!

I have epilepsy, it can be controlled with medication - you neednt worry about it too much, just make sure you go to a doctor and see the severity and go on to right meds... might be depressing, i know - but you will be ok I promise.
