Hi Kelly...I'm glad we had a nice chat. I don't want you to worry yourself sick as it doesn't accomplish anything rather only actions do. Therefore, I hope I answered your question about the UTI and spraying problems through all your previous questions and in our online chats and phone call. Please consider contacting all the local vets first thing in the morning in your neighbourhood community from the list I emailed you including the Van Buren Humane Society as someone will know which can do low cost neutering since Bud is spraying. Plus it doesn't hurt to check for UTI too.
Please email me when you confirm an appointment to have Bud taken in so I can bug you too to make sure you keep the appointment. ;-)

It might if it had a painful infection or really had to go and couldn't. Your friend needs to take the cat to the vet right away if it's not peeing or if it's making a lot of noise and your friend thinks that that might be the problem. The vet should be able to tell quickly if that's the problem.

Probably. It will meow and walk very stiff like it can hardly move. It will move around very slowly as well. Get the cat to a Vet ASAP. I had this happen and the cat died because it was of course on a weekend. It will destroy the cat's kidneys. Also, if you are feeding the cat Ocean Whitefish cat food, stop. It crystalizes the cat's urine and can cause blockage. Like I said, had it happen! :-)

Our family cat had a blockage of the urethra once and could not urinate. He was in tremendous pain so when he was vocal it was more of a moaning sound. This happens to cats from time to time. This condition is serious. Tell your friend to take the cat to the vet or an animal hospital immediately. Good luck.

First of all...if a cat can't urinate he has a problem. A kidney stone ,for example, can block the urine and also cause a lot of pain. If the cat is in discomfort,he would probably cry.."meow". They will also meow to call up their kittens or family member(you). If he can't urinate....Please take him to the vet.

They meow in a special way as they strain in the litterbox, when they are blocked, because they are in pain. If there is a suspicion of blockage, go to the vet immediately. Your cat can be saved, but only if treated in time.

I would think so, if it can,t pee it,s has to be very uncomfortable I know I would be. Also I,ve heard that cats are somewhat prone to urinary tract infections so maybe you should definitely take the poor critter to a vet.

if a cat is in the box frequently and cries when urinating or trying to urinate , then there is definately a problem.. have it seen by a Veterinarian as soon as possible.. there could be something blocking it's urinary tract.
