The only thing I've heard of that might be a concern is Lyme Disease. I think it has to be transmitted by a certain kind of tick though - a deer tick maybe? Anyway, it's probably a good idea to call your doctor's office and ask them if you should come in for an injection or antibiotics.

Don't let people freak you out. Usually being bit by a tick just means you bleed for a little while. If it's a DEER tick, yes, you can catch lyme disease. Right now go wash the area with warm water and anti-bacterial soap - don't try to milk the wound (squeeze it) as this can cause germs to intermingle. bleeding is good!! It removess bacteria and germs from tyhe wound site. Keep the bite clean and dry. If you experience Headache, Nausea, Vomiting, a large reddened area (greater than an inch) around the wound, it does not heal after a few days (no scab), gets EXTREMELY painful or hot, or you experience generalized weakness, call your doctor. If you have dizziness when standing, prolonged vomiting, chest pain, uncontrollable headache, or any problem you think you should be seen RIGHT AWAY for, call 911.
999 times out of 1000 nothing ever happens. Sleep tight. Don't let anything else bite.

You've seriously never had a tick before? Have you always lived around concrete or somthing? Anyway, as long as you put some alcohol and/or hydrogen peroxide on it you should be fine. If the bite starts to swell and turn into a large red circle, then go to a hospital ASAP. Lyme disease is nasty stuff.
You DID get the head of the tick when you pulled it out, right?

Ticks can carry Lyme Disease, you need to seek medical attention. Lyme disease is caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi and is transmitted to humans by the bite of infected blacklegged ticks. Typical symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue, and a characteristic skin rash called erythema migrans. If left untreated, infection can spread to joints, the heart, and the nervous system. Lyme disease is diagnosed based on symptoms, physical findings (e.g., rash), and the possibility of exposure to infected ticks; laboratory testing is helpful in the later stages of disease. Most cases of Lyme disease can be treated successfully with a few weeks of antibiotics.

Are you sure it was a tick? If you are sure, notice any ill feelings you might get. Almost flu like symptoms with a rash where you were bit, stiffness. If you do become ill then you need to see the doctor. Lyme disease is always a possibility, so be sure to go to the doctor early if you are feeling ill.

While ticks can transmit disease, this is usually not the case. If you do get sick in the next few weeks, however, be sure to tell your doctor that you were bitten by a tick.

just make sure the head of the tick is not embedded in your skin and clean the site daily with peroxide. If you were going to get sick, you would have been by now, no worries.

you should be fine, but you might want to see about getting to your doctor if you start feeling fatigued or getting headaches. sore throats and symptoms of sinus infection are also not something you want to experience after a tick bite. these could all point to lyme disease, but it's pretty unlikely that you've contracted it.
don't sweat it.

It really depends on how long the tic was attached. If you think it was several days I would advice you to go see your doctor. If it was there for only a short time you should be OK.
