Yes please! In the form of the most classic of drinks (pre-cursor to the sidecar) which has remained unchanged since the mid-1800's::
BRANDY CRUSTA
1. Take a chilled small wine glass, liberally rub a lemon slice around the rim, roll not dip in a saucer of caster sugar to crust the glass with a rim about 1-2cm wide.
2. To a shaker add: 50ml Brandy, 10ml Orange Curacao, 10ml Sugar Syrup (2parts sugar: 1part boiling water - cool and bottle), 2 lemon zests, 1 small scoop of crushed ice.
3. Shake all for around 20-30 seconds.
4. Strain into the chilled glass with no ice.
5. Garnish by paring the zest from around the waist of lemon so it forms a wide, long strip that can be fitted around the inner circumference of the glass.
Serve and smile. :-)
(ps: my REAL name is Merlin, cool name).

i would love a sidecar, with proper lemon juice- not that commercial sweet and sour crap. and it had better be served in a martini glass, not a highball!
thanks in advance...
