Hello

During the initial infection there are flu like symptoms that go away. With Hep C there are usually no symptoms to speak of in general for up to 30 yrs after the virus was first contracted. Then the symptoms usually begin with extrema fatigue, loss of appetite, dark orange/red urine (even when well hydrated.) If you think you've been infected its important to see a doctor right away there are very good treatments now for Hep c and the sooner they are started the better the chance for a total remission. If left untreated Hep c causes cirrosis, liver cance and liver failure. Hep C is contracted by contact with an infected persons blood, it is rarely if ever contacted by sexual contact. If you have Hep c dont share tooth brushes, razors anything that may have your blood on it that could be easily transmitted to another person. Hope this helps

Most people don't have any symptoms or their symptoms are so subtle they don't recognize them. I had only fatigue and joint pain which I wrongly attributed to getting older (I was 39). The lack of symptoms is why it is such a dangerous disease. You can have hep c for decades and not know it, all the while living a lifestyle (drinking alcohol, taking OTC or prescription meds or herbals that expedite the damage to your liver). As damage increases to the liver over the years, and the liver is not able to function enough to perform the most basic functions, you may see signs of decompensation; edema or fluid retention in the peritoneal / abdominal cavity which causes difficulty breathing and must be drained or "tapped'. Other signs of decompensation (also called end stage liver disease ESLD) may be one or more of the following; vomiting blood, spider angiomas (star bursts on skin), hepatic encephalopathy (brain fog), and other symptoms. I hope this was helpful.

I haven't got Hepatitis but I am a nurse, some of the symptoms are tiredness, skin can turn a yellowish colour but not in the early stages, Liver damage, a 70% higher risk of cancer, ultimately it can kill you, for every person that dies from A.I.D.S. 10 die from Hep C.
Get help ASAP.see your doctor and ask the medical experts for information, not friends as they mean well but may be misinformed Good Luck my friend my prayers are with you.

you wont at least for a while ,visibly be able to tell ,you need to see a infectious ,,i think i spelled that right,,, anyway an infect dr, get blood work done than if you do not get it treated ... after a period of time ,your skin will turn a yellowish color , along with the whites of your eyes,, after it gets you that far,if you havent got it treated your stomach area will swell,, then if you still havent got it treated you will soon perish . not a good sight so, if you think you or someone you know has it you need to get it checked ,,serious.. especially with hep c .. thanx good luck

you don't have symtoms until it's terminal and you start having jaundice. that's how it kills you. you wouldn't know you have it until it's too late. it has no cure anyway.
