Would there be any way to find out how many MP's have died since we went to iraq?

I only want to know because I will be enlisting as an MP in the next week or so. I'd like to know more or less what odd's are like. If I had a number id be able to calculate my chances. Either way ill be signing up as an MP regardless of the risk.

Its hard to base the casulities from the past against your chances. The mission of the MP change all the time and for the most part MPs are working on training the Iraqi police or perform security.

I wouldnt worry to much being an MP is the greatest job in the Army.

This is a very good website for stats on Iraq: http://icasualties.org/oif/

You have to scroll around it look at all the info it has, because it let's you pull up info in a lot of different catagories. (The U.S. Military personnel are shown on the 3rd chart on the front page)

The site also includes all of the latest news articles and Department of Defense briefings (you'll see them on the left side of the screen)

It also tallies non-military deaths, etc.. (look at the bottom of the screen and you'll see tons of info)

It's a free website and is an invaluable source of info!

I don't know army, as for marine when I left there had been four from my company. There are more in the grunt bns in the marines. I don't know about the other services, but we had more purple hearts in our platoon than most companies of grunts (just not as many deaths) I don't know how you would find it out. Why do you want to know?
