Alright so genesis has Adam and Eve as the first people, right? (world pop. 2) So then cain and able are born right? (world pop. 4) And then Cain kills able right? (world pop. 3) And then Cain journeys off to the land of Nod with his wife, and she bares him a son. Meanwhile, adam is off somewhere else with eve, because he produces yet another child (Seth) somewhere away from the land of nod. So my question is, where did this mysterious Mrs. Cain come from?

The bible doesn't mention a sister. Not before he journeys off to the land of nod anyway, and if there were women in the land of nod, where did they come from?

must be a sister.
By the time Cain and Abel were old enough to be men, there were probably several children born that just were not mentioned. Imagine, there was no birth control....so I am sure they had many many children, especially considering how long they lived.

Because the bible doesn't mention a sister, it doesn't follow logically that there wasn't a sister. If the bible mentioned everything that happen, it would take a book that went from here to the moon to record everything. Even the bible says "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written"(John 21:25). I'm sure Adam and Eve had many, many more sons and daughters. In a geneology, the bible never mentions the girls born anyway because that was a very male oriented culture. In general, their geneologies only mentioned the boys. It doesn't follow that their was no girls born.
Where did Cain get his wife? He married one of his sisters. To marry near of kin in the very ancient world was common. It was never forbidden in the bible until about 1500 BC where God does forbid it in Leviticus 18:6. Why did he all of a sudden forbid it after allowing it for the 2500 years? The reason is simple. The genetic mutations resulting from the curse on Adam and Eve and on the rest of the universe had a cumulative effect. Though Cain could marry his sister because the genetic pool was relatively pure at that time, by Moses' day the genetic errors had swelled. Today geneticists confirm that the risk of passing on a genetic abnormality to your child is much greater if you marry a close relative because relatives are more likely to carry the same defective gene. If they procreate, their off-spring are more apt to have this defect expressed. So God allowed incest until it was apparent to him that the gene pool was polluted enough where it was now dangerous to allow incest.

Adam and Eve were the first people but not the *only* people. Couldn't God had created Adam and Eve and then went on to create other people at some point? It has never been stated anywhere that Adam and Eve (and their children) were the only people forever until they populated the world with their offspring... and a magical wife :) It just isn't highlighted about how and when God created these other people and that is certainly interesting as to why it's not explained.

the bible says adam and eve had sons and daughters.

this will be too long to explain but i will do it very briefly.

but if you read it carefully, you will know that the author is wrapping up the life of cain, so he tells of cain's wife and his decendants.

if you noticed throughout the rest of the table of nations cain is never mentioned. if you look at it closer you will see that my analysis is accurate.

God bless, guy!

Mrs. Cain is Cain's sister. The reason why humans have a lot of genetic abnormalities is because our first parents and their children had intermarried with each other.

The Torah was not meant for explanations. It was written as law, then history. Somewhere within Adam and Eves lifespand, more people probably made it to Nod.

Lillith (Mythologically) was born of the darkness, and God's failed first attempt at creating a woman. She was the mother of monsters. Supposedly the union of Caine and Lillith bore fruit and from their offspring descended all ungodly beings (Vampires, Werewolves, Evil Spirits, Faery folk).

Excellent question. The most I know is that Adam and Eve wrern't the only People alive at the same time. Perhaps GOD created people all about at the same time? Let me know ok.

Adam and Eve had over 60 children. 30 some odd girls, 30 some odd guys. Cain took one of his sisters as his wife.

It didn't make it into the bible because, well, that's incest. There's a lot of stuff that didn't make it into the bible because it would be frowned upon and people would be less inclined to follow.

Adam & Eve had more children. Read Genesis. They lived nearly 1000 years. Usually the firstborn children were named. Not all.
