You have faith in belief that humans came from slim and defend it as staunchly as I believe that Almighty God created the universe in 7 days. There are so many gaps in evelution that cannot prove its legitimacy it is a scientific hypthesis that cannot be proven even by its own methods.

AJ, you are a complete drongo. No, evolution is not accepted as a fact. There are no intermediate stages yet found in the fossil record and that is a major concern. In fact I have some colleagues who, having studied evolution, have gone back to creationism because some of the critters around today are just too hard to explain by evolution. Science is moving on, but don't be fooled into thinking that we have got there yet. I really don't like people who mis quote science and then try to bash other people over the head with half baked conclusions. It gives us scientists a bad name and we don't need any help with that thanks. MSc Biological Sciences.

Those that believe in the Bible can not be 100% positive that what is written about regarding Mans existence is 100% fact and the same thing goes for Evolutionists. That's why it's called FAITH for religion and THEORY for Science even though faith and theory are the same thing.

the only way any of us will know for sure, is when we are finished with this life and are either presented with Gods Kingdom, or Non-Existence.

I happen to believe that God created Man, but I am not going to tell those who believe that Man evolved that they are wrong.

Both the Creation Story as written in Gensis as well as the theory of evolution are something that can not be 100% proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to those that think otherwise. It all comes down to personal belief.

I hope I did not offend anyone, and I know I probably did not describe my opinion well enough to convince anyone of anything. But that's what I personally believe.

Where do you get your facts? From the born-again Christian Cracker Jack box?

I may not know everything about the theory of Evolution, but I'm not going to prove my lack of knowledge by asking stupid questions - like you.

But, your statement about evolution being a religion is false.
Your statement about evolution having "so many gaps" - it doesn't even remotely compare to the gaps in creationism. Science is fallable, and thus allows for theories to be proven wrong, so that science improves and creates new theories. Each time, the theory becomes stronger. Eventually, those theories become law.

7 days, huh? Yeah.. The idea is proposterous, let alone without proof.

There are many earthly signs that evolution has happened, in the fossils in the strata, through comparing our genes to other species and noting similarities, the way embryos develop, no matter what the species, is very similar, studying the brain development of animals gives us an evolutionary timeline that fits too well to just be chance.
To accept evolution as truth requires less faith than believing everything was made by a maker, simply by oberving life and the remains of life. Evolution will not give a definite answer to life's mysteries, it is not a religion, it is only the way we came about on this planet, through the gradual change in species to adapt to their environment over time.

With as many gaps in the evolutionary chain it is still superior to the 'Creation' story. The story of Creation from the Christian God has too many contradictions where as Evolution has gaps rather than inaccuracies. Besides, it isn't a black or white thing. There are more choices and an infinite amount of possiblies for our universe to have come to be. Narrowing it down to two possiblites is as absurd and stupid as the concept of a comprehensible God itself.

Christians that believe in the religion of evolution have decide to accept what is called the Gap Theory. That means that they try to show how god used evolution. When in reality, all things were made in a litteral week.

God spoke everything into existance. He also is a jelouse God, thus he wont give evidence to turn people away from him. They do that out of ignorance.

Evolution is no longer considered a hypothesis, it is proved fact.

Every notable scientist in the world accepts evolution as fact, and your ridiculous statement that there are "so many gaps in evolution" is a flat lie.

Read less fiction and more non-fiction, so you won't sound so ignorant.

You know, the "logic" that Christians use when the subject is evolution is nothing short of terrifying. To say that it takes as much faith to believe evolution or to say the evidence points to intelligent design just shows how very little you know about the topic.

What gaps in evolution? Do you mean there should be more fossils or something? Exactly what "missing link" would satisfy you people? I don't know about yours, but not one of my great-grandparents has fossilized; there is no archaeological evidence of their having existed, but they definitely did. The modern synthesis of evolutionary theory is almost certainly correct, more and more evidence supports it, and nothing, nothing at all, comes even close to forcing scientists (real ones) to abandon or substantially modify it.

Ah, do you want that tied up with a bow as well?

It can take a very long time to prove a scientific hypothesis. The evidence backing the theory of evolution is gradually being unearthed (pun intended.)

How much proof have you found to back a creationist theory?

I thought not.
