A common misconception is that Jehovah's Witnesses go from door-to-door because they feel it is their duty to get a householder to "make others believe what they believe". In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses would go from door-to-door even if there were no hope that anyone would change their religion, or even if no one would listen to them!
That is because Jesus Christ specifically assigned the house-to-house ministry to the Christian congregation, with no regard for specific results.
(Luke 10:1,2) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. 2 Then he began to say to them: “The harvest, indeed, is great, but the workers are few. Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.
Jehovah's Witnesses are trained to direct attention to the bible, and move on when their message is unwanted. Since each congregation in the United States tries to call at every home in its territory at least twice each year, there is strong motivation for them to move on where little interest is shown. Also, the Scriptures help the Witnesses to expect little interest from most:
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching ...and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

Because they love mankind. That is why the followers of various religions accept martyrdom to spread the teachings of the One True God.
At the beginning, most of believers dislike the teachers, but afterwards they become very thankful when they recognize the abundant blessings of God. And this becomes a great eccouragement to the teachers under denials or persecutions!

To some degree, we all rely on each other for what we need in this world.
So I'll give you 3 answers
1. Power. Because if I hold the truth, and you are just coming around to it now, then I'm an expert and you're a newcomer. That gives me some power.
2. Power. If more people believe what I already believe, I don't have to change and I don't have to waste a lot of energy questioning things in my own life in order to kiss up to those in power.
3. Power. If nobody thinks like I do, I am probably shunned, rejected and poor. If everybody thinks like I do, I have friends everywhere, that means I have support everywhere and I have more resources and potential to go further.
Power, power and power.

Well I have to say the Jehovah Witness after one or two time, get on my nerves too. I think they should take a hint after two times and you don't let them in.
Now the KKK, that a group, and I think if a "hate belief" and I am not sure but the American Amendment allows us to believe and worship however we want too.. I guess hate group are included in that??
I like to discuss differances in religion and why they belief, but I don't want to hound or be hounded

It's called religious conviction. They believe in saving souls as an act of faith and gratitude to God, of course not knowing they can be annoying sometimes. They have entertained in their thought they hold the secret of your own salvation and been wanting to snatch you out from the clutch of Satan. I once saw this group of young christians who call themselves 'Salvation Army' and come with military attire. Don't know what to say of this group. Anyway, they meant no harm except to cause few annoyance. Just bless them away.

I suppose because they feel they need to "save" the world with their message! They feel they have the truth and they must spread the word!
if you feel you have the truth of why we exist, wouldn't you want to share? Admittedly, some people get a little over exuberant!

most pagan's or wiccan's do not push there religion on people Most of them keep there belief's quite because of the criticism they get...They have maickal names so there identity is hidden...I do not fear people knowing what I believe...But I will defend it.I do not care if somebody wants to fallow what I do that is there choice. I do not push my beliefs on my children they are raised with Christianity and paganism and so forth we discuss all religions because they have to decide what they believe in and what they want to fallow when they are adults.

People have a one track mind. What they see for themselves they believe to be the same in everyone else. Even though logically it does not make sense, subconsciously it seems like common sense to them. Thusforth creating karma in how if someone does evil to you you feel inclined to do it in return, but if someone is kind to you, you're inclined to be kind to them.

It's like you have the cure for every illness in the world. I can't keep it too myself you want everyone to live. To not speak your responsible for death. I want to share good news don't we have enough bad news. How great and awesome my God is how much he loves you and me... Jesus wants you to know that he loves you! Its not my job to judge you I just ask you to try him for yourself. Repent,Believe, and Trust God. Its not about religion its about relationship with your creator
