If he's already an ex, I probably wouldn't feel the need to.
However, if you do want to, probably the phone would be best.

Why do you have to tell him? He obviously knows he's the EX-boyfriend right? I guess if you feel the need to let him know so you can both have closure then just tell him, however you want. This really isn't necessarily considered closure because that would've been done before you got a new boyfriend. Good luck!

Be kind enough to tell him in person.Honesty is always best. Its pretty cold to email or call to break up with someone you have developed a genuine relationship with.I try to follow the rule "do unto others as you would want done to you".Have a freind close by if you are afraid he will get violent.
But above all be honest.People appreciate when someone is honest with them.If not, not only are you hurt by them but you also lose respect for theat person.

Why do you feel like you should tell him? Are you guys still friends? If not, then you are not really obligated to tell him anything. If are you still mates then maybe it would be common courtosy let him know. In that case, casually let him know that you are with someone now. Don't be a ***** about and consider how he may be feeling being told this. Do it as less offensive as possible whilst still letting him know you've moved on. Best way to do it would be via phone.

Unless you and your ex are still friends, I see know reason to tell him at all. He will find out in due time. Why do you owe it to him to tell him?
If you feel you must, I would suggest email or something and then let it go -- for the sake of your new boyfriend.

well if your relationship didn't have a right closure, your boyfriend still thinks he is in a relationship with you....I think your boyfriend needs to know .......explain to him what you are feeling ....you need to tell him that in person ......just talk to him nicely.......and tell him you still want to be friends.....

You must be an immature lil' chickie. Adult women do not continue to obsess about and communicate with ex-boyfriends. You shouldn't either. Move on with your life, and stop stalking.
